Responsible for the Buying, Pricing and Trading of merchandise of 35+ International Fashion Watches & Jewelry Brands ranged in 15+ retail shops across UAE.
Preparation of LPO’s, wholesale quotations, updating supplier/client database in ERP system (BO) and communicating to Local Brands and other International suppliers.
Negotiate with suppliers on product pricing, payment terms, cost of freight, provision of training and the extent of their involvement in advertising campaigns and promotions.
Communicating with suppliers on regular basis and assist with the efficient ordering, delivery and payment of merchandise to reduce the likelihood of queries and problems.
Maintain the return of all faulty merchandise to suppliers with the accompanying debit note correctly made out to ensure the department receives a credit note and also perform regular follow up for payments, tracking of new shipments/re-orders and back order shipments.
Pay regular visits to warehouse to resolve any shipment discrepancies and delay and liaise with the suppliers in case of any variance/damage to prompt immediate corrective action.
Plan and select the range, type, quality and quantity of merchandise according to customers demand, trends, store policies and set prices and sell through targets in conjunction with the Division Head.
Ensure effective in season management of the assigned category/department through regular analysis and action planning, based on the performance around the following anchors; Sales vs. Stock, Inflows/OTB, Stock analysis, Stock balancing, Margin analysis, Terminal stock, Damage & Stock loss.
Forecast, maintain and analyze department/category merchandise MIS analytics based on actual sales, sales forecasts, company order parameters, inventory checks, forth coming events, replenishment needs, etc.
Monitor Best/Slow Sellers/Continuity lines and manage the stock levels in stores, checking accuracy of price/cost in the system for entire locations to achieve maximum sales.
Liaise with Inventory department and IT Department to ensure system stock accuracy and other data’s.
Monitor stock movement; consider markdowns, inter-branch transfers, promotions, stock liquidations etc.
Reports: Preparing daily/weekly/monthly reports in required templates and communicating to Brand Team, suppliers, inter-departments and to stores.
Sales Support: Assist sales staff and management with customer service by placing special orders and providing information on stock availability and product knowledge to maximize sales and profitability for department.
Help analyze the effectiveness of the seasonal promotions and the existing stock levels for timely roll out during promotional campaigns to achieve targeted sales with agreed margins.
Handle daily stock transfer requests from stores on a daily/ weekly basis in order to minimize costs and satisfy customer’s requests with the support of logistics team.
Liaise with purchasing dept for shopping bags /wrapping papers /stickers and other required materials for smooth operations.
VM & Marketing Support: Communicate with VM team for required POS/display materials, TOC’s and other collaterals as per the Brand VM guidelines.
Coordinating with Marketing Team and ensure proper implementation of marketing activities (Posters in stores/Malls, Branding advertisements, GWP/Voucher promotions, etc) are executed during DSF/DSS/MSS/other Events by taking prior permissions from Govt. Authorities/mall managements.
Provide sale line list for the municipality (DED) and assist with marketing team to get approvals from ministry.
