CRAFTSMAN AUTOMATION PVT LTD (Aluminium FOUNDRY UNIT)
Duties:
Feasibility Study : Study about standards, material grade(AlSi7Mg, AlSi10Mg, AlSi12), part dimensions, process, heat treatment and pressure test details given in the customer drawing. Finally conclude the feasibility of part to manufacture or not. Getting the standards given in the drawing from the customer.
Part Modelling: As per drawings part is 3D model .Have to get customer approval.
Tool design: Includes methoding - gating as per ratio, runner, riser design, die side half 1, 2, bottom die for the part with the help of design team.
Manufacturing: Die - Master block die block (SG Iron) die machining and assembly. Pattern& Core box -master block Aluminium block machining match plate mounting and methoding work.
Pattern / Die inspected by pattern shop incharge and verified by development engineer.
Developing part: Parameters look into : Pouring temperature, pouring time, die temperature, solidification time, degassing time, Mould Hardness, Baume value, addition of modifier, Mg addition and material test certificate, vacuum test.
Inspection I do: Visual Inspection - defects like shrinkage, unfill .Shot blasting - to identify dross, sand drop. Cut Section- shrinkage in heavy section, wall thickness variation (due to cast shift cause core hanging), DPT - to identify minor porosity and shrinkage, RT - outsourcing to find internal shrinkage and porosity level.
Defect solving : Modifying gating, riser, chill placement in heavy section, proper degassing, material addition or slow pouring to avoid dross it depends.
Despatch sample part to customer with MTC.
Quality inspection: Analysis of microstructure, chemical composition, vaccum sample check, Hardness test, Tensile test and MTC.
Production: Review of PPC, Releasing of PP, Melting, Fettling, and labour requirement as per shiftwise.
Project Owner: Faiveley, Flowserve, Civaccon, GE Energy, Oerlikon, Royal Enfield, Wilden, Capl Marine, ELGI, Alstom, Siemens and Fiat(New Holland Agriculture)
Achievement: Successfully produced CAPL marine Engine parts, Engine successfully run and tested in Italy. Overall Successfully develop 50 + parts in all customers need.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, PSG Polytechnic College, Achieved Top Percentage of 89.92 % .
