Responsibilities:
Payable Accountant:
1) Book day-to- day invoices and expense claims
2) Supplier reconciliation
3) Check payment and issue cheque or bank transfer when needed, and record payments
4) Bank reconciliation
5) Clearing accounts for closing purpose
6) Contributed in preparing audit confirmation sheets of 2018 closing balance.
• Receivable Accountant: Book collection from customers
I had my co-op at National Oilwell Varco (NOV) as an assistant accountant working with the teams of payable, receivable and intercompany accountant for 5 months.
My responsibilities as a payable Accountant, which are booking of invoices, bank reconciliation check and payments’ recording. Moreover, I had the opportunity to work as a Receivable Accountant which included booking customers’ invoices (Sales Order), record of payments received from customers and credit memos. I have also been exposed to being Intercompany Accountant duties . It was an invaluable experience to work with Oracle system the most popular system and company Track Tool systems.
