The Pond Casse to Melville Hall road forms part of the road that links the capital of the Commonwealth of Dominica (Roseau), located in the southwestern part of the island, to Melville Hall Airport in the northeast. This 29km of road traverses a geologically difficult area through several mountains and a Tropical Rain forest area resulting in forced inclusion of very sharp bends and steep grades. This project covers a Mountainous terrain which includes Excavation, cross drainage works, retaining walls, Sea defense walls, Bridges, Milling of the existing Asphalt, base and sub-base works, drainage works and laying Asphaltic wearing course to the tune of 74 million EC dollars
