Provides lead support to Senior Finance Officials in the policy formulation of the country’s position with regards to the Philippines engagements in ASEAN and ASEAN +3 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, as well as the APEC, ASEM and the IMF.

•Represents the Philippines in the ASEAN, ASEAN+3, APEC and ASEM Finance Ministers Technical Working Groups, and serves as Alternate in Deputy-level Meetings of the ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Process.

•Led the Philippines in Chairing the ASEAN Finance Ministers Working Groups on the Forum on Taxation (AFT) that produced a Roadmap on an ASEAN tax cooperation and the Financial Services Liberalization (FSL) that has negotiated succesfully the 7th Round of Financial Services Liberalization that has progressively liberalized market access on financial services sub-sectors in ASEAN

•Interim Chair of the ASEAN Cross-Sectoral Committee on Disaster Risks Insurance (DRFI) with the objective of establishing a regional approach to strengthening ASEAN’s resiliency in terms of natural catastrophes.

•Member of the Philippines Secretariat in Chairing the APEC Finance Ministers Meeting that delivered the Cebu Action Plan (CAP) a Roadmap that would provide guidance for the APEC Finance Process, in setting its agenda for the coming years.

•Chair and Lead ASEAN negotiator in the Financial Services Sub-sector in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) that is envisioned to be the largest FTA in the world.

•Handles the Republic of the Philippines’ international membership commitments with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Monetary Fund and other Bilateral Institutions.
