• Preparation and examination of the journal entries and general ledgers, bank statements and other accounting and financial records to ensure recording accuracy and compliance with the standards.
• Follow up the core accounting functions as designed for cash collection activities, account receivables, accounts payable as well as introduce monthly financial performance reports in time to support management in making suitable financial decisions.
• Prepare payroll records considering necessary reconciliations and other ad hoc reports.
• Monitor sales contracts for revenue recognition implications, follow up invoices and billing process and adjust deferred and accrued revenue& expenses accounts.
• Regularly review and update the key performance indicators such as solvency and liquidity and other ratios.
• Preparation and submission of the vat report and make sure that accounting legal requirements are met by monitoring changes in the tax law that may impact the business.
• Cooperating with external auditors by providing all accounting and financial reports and documents needed to carry out the annual external audit process and communicate the results to stakeholders.
• Trying to keep up with the new regulation’s adjustments and their related effects on the company status to make the right decisions at the right time.
• Implement inventory control system, checkup physical inventory counts comparing with accounting records and consider taking crucial actions due to obsolete items.
• Review inventory movements and its direction according to the nature of items.
• Analyze inventory turnover, monitor slow selling products to define the reasons.
• Participate in decreasing monthly expenditures and purchases by effectively reviewing and identifying problem areas, also trying to plan for contingencies and other liabilities.
• Analyze cost drivers and seek opportunities for cost reduction and to validate the cost of goods sold by reviewing financial reports and business processes.
• Implement cost controls and approval processes for major expenses.
• Monitor fixed assets master additions, capital expenses, disposals, assess its physical condition and prepare the depreciation report on time to ensure implementing related policies and procedures.
• Participate in evaluating the potential opportunities for leasing or other financing options in the context of overall financial health.
• Adhere to established internal controls and policies in coordination with internal control manager.
• Collaborate with various internal departments to collect the required information to support the department to meet the established deadlines.
• Participate in determining the cause of the gaps between the standard cost and actual cost to determine favorable and unfavorable variances.
• Assist in the development and the implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.
• Willingness to take on multiple roles and responsibilities based on team needs. Dealing with several accounting systems.
• Participate in research of new accounting system to increase the efficiency and drive integration.
