Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
1. Was hired to setup and run one of UAE’s largest Joinery Factory with an area of 100, 000 square feet. Delegated with supplier to purchase state of the art machinery. Designed and executed the actual factory layout, installed the machinery in a Cell formation to establish a smooth product flow from material receiving to product shipping.
2. Day to day operation included training staff on Just in time system. Implemented Cad software that calculates and minimize material wastage. Increased productivity through continuous training.
3. Manages the day to day routine production and guides supervisor.
4. Oversees production process and provide production scheduling.
5. Guides the Supervisors for routine normal working and performance improvement in the performance of the production lines.
6. Ensure that quality in each product are archive and meet prior to delivery.
7. Daily production outputs are closely monitored not affecting the quality.
8. On time delivery and site installation completion for customer satisfaction and commitment.
9. Continuous improvement and do it right the first time policy.
10. Makes liaison with Maintenance Department for maintenance, shutdown and breakdown jobs and inter departmental working co-operation.
11. Plan and generates different reports regarding production, run-ability and efficiency of the plant.
12. Keep an eye and plans strategies for the improvement in consumables / raw materials consumption and energy conversations.
13. Guides all working staff and ensure whole plant area / machines are always kept at high standard of housekeeping, assures that all the work across the plant is being carried according to the safety rules and regulations.
14. Set targets to meet production expectations, minimize downtime and maintain high standards in operation and productivity.
15 Familiar with the latest technology for wood working machinery such as Automatic Beam Panel Saw, CNC Router Machine, Laser Guided Multi Rip Saw, Double End Tenoner, Double and Single Edge Banding Machine, Automatic Milling Machine F9, 7 Heads Molder Weinig Machine, Multi Spindle Boring Machine, Profile Copier, Automatic Carving Machine, Membrane Press, Veneer Shear and Splicing Machine, Hydraulic Hot Press, Calibrating and Sanding Machine, Curtain Coater, Easy with Ecosprayer, 3 Lamps UV Oven, 1 Lamp UV Oven, Pressurized Spray Booth, Surface and Thickness Planer, Sliding Table Saw and Profile Grinder.
16. Knowledgeable in Polishing activities from sanding preparation, staining, base coating and final coating using Polyurethane (PU) or Nitrocellulose (NC) materials and pigmented.
17. Strong ability to manage complete production and installation of Doors from sawn timber to milling, polishing and installation either custom made and mass production type of production.
18. Provide machine lay out, production process flow, production planning and control procedure, material stock and control.
19. Trains and guides production staffs to improve manufacturing methods, tooling and production equipment capabilities, fixtures and jigs design with the end view of optimizing product manufacturability and increase market competitiveness in terms of product cost and quality.
20. Responsible for ensuring quality, efficiency and productivity standards are met based on a set of specific criteria.
21. Established the run rate for production such that production order can be reasonably served on time while attaining optimum utilization for the company’s manufacturing resources (Materials, Machine, Methods and Manpower).
22. Keep abreast of solving problem that encounter during the course of production and make necessary step to come up the best results.
23 Able to use SAP system limited to Factory system environment.
