- Sales support like site survey for pre Bid projects, participate for tender and prepare bid ensuring that all obligations under contracts are met.
- Responsible for the complete design life cycle including material submittals, data sheets, shop drawings, hook-up drawings, material take off and other engineering deliverables based on the feed documents and subsequent client coordination and follow up.
- Review and approve/reject change requests and requisitions
- Analyze and address concerns that may affect scope of work, schedule, costs and/or applicable standards-specifications
- Participate in Design review meetings, HAZOP, scope change, SIL study, Lessons learned.
- Create detailed work scopes, manage procurement and engineering, provide site support to resolve project issues and handle change management.
- Coordinate with the site construction group in a timely manner to review and provide resolutions for engineering, technical, and commercial issues.
- Interface and coordinate with other Project teams, vendors, and sub contractors to ensure that engineering deliverables and construction plans are smoothly implemented and executed.
- Preliminary selection of process instruments, vendor selection for DCS, ESD, VMS, CCS
- Provide support to the Project Manager in the execution of their roles and responsibilities as required.
- Participate in progress meetings with reports (progress, histogram, execution plan, risk analysis etc) and internal group discussions for procurement and sub contracts for project budgets
- Participate for witness test, TPI’s, FAT, SAT and MC.
- Managing sub-contractors on site during installation and commissioning activities.
- Client coordination activities on day to day basis and Various System Vendor for tie-in jobs.
- Overall In-charge for Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities for the project.
- Pre-commissioning & Commissioning Planning & Execution.
- Work with completions team to establish project turnover process and requirements.
- Manage the proposal process for multiple tenders to stay on schedule and present them to the management for review and approval prior to final publishing.
- Coordinates and communicates proposal document delivery and costing requirements to the key support functions to meet proposal due dates while raising, tracking and documenting issues.
- Ensures all relevant documentation for bid proposals is complete and accurate
- Ensure all technical, commercial and contractual correspondence with Clients are efficiently addressed and closed out.
- Prepares reports for the management such as summary schedules, proposal overviews, competitive overviews and cost/price summaries.
- Analyses the proposal schedule, monitors progress and highlights potential risks for on time delivery. Recommends corrective action plans for management approval.
- Responsible for internal and external interfaces during tender execution.
Handled the bidding and tendering as per requirements and performed project bid analysis for technical requirements & project calculation activities for several projects of BDARA CPF PHASE-2, Zubair Gathering System and Hartha TPP of following clients: Kuwait Energy, GAZPROM, Samsung, Technopromexport, KBR, EXXONMOBIL (M055) and ASIACELL etc.
- Leading tendering activities of a project by taking full ownership of projects’ Technical, Financial & Contractual reviews and mitigating / forecasting risks for the complete project cycle.
- Survey of site as per required scope of work of brown field and green field projects for bid preparation.
- Reviewing Enquiry/RFQ Packages, Prepare TBT/TBE on the basis of vendor’s quotation,
Prepare BOQ and Execution Schedule and plan.
- Ability to access and analyze the scope of supply and commercial conditions in order to elaborate the proposal strategy in coordination with management.
- Coordinating between clients, vendors, engineering consultant, procurement team, quality control team, and Safety team to ensure project documentation complies with contractual requirements.
- Conducting site visits to provide design inputs including system backup, required drawings, instruments data, rack room layout etc for vendors to achieve PDR and CDR as per project schedule.
- Review & submission of QA plan, job procedures as per relevant codes, standards & specifications.
Verification of vendor material packages with related PO’s and specifications, Interaction with vendors.
- Monitor Engineering progress from KOM till IFC at each milestone stage referring to DCL.
- Ensuring operations participation in reviews like Design review, SIL, LLI, Scope change management, team alignment etc.
• Conducting routine weekly meetings with client and Project Team and circulation of MOM.
• Review and recommend approvals and circulate documents that require approvals from the authorized Technical Person.
• Change/Variation control and Risk monitoring.
- Monitor actual percentage progress reports (weekly or as required) for assigned project and insure deliverables issuing as per scheduled.
- Initiate, follow up, and manage procurement engineering activities (MR, RFQs, MTOs, TBEs, TQs, PRs and MTR)
- Initiate Invoices based on milestones and follow up receivables including advance payment, change orders, retentions, material cost on progress etc.
- Experience in the technical competencies like developing project execution plans, managing and communicating project performance, cost, schedule, resources, project interfaces, project risk assessment, contractor’s performance and specifying quality, health, safety & environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Working knowledge & site installation of process instruments, DCS, ESD, PLC, VMS, CCS and SCADA systems.
- Routine Maintenance of Process Instrument and Troubleshooting, Field Calibration, Analyzing major plant upsets/failure and recommending appropriate technical solutions to alleviate such problems and to improve reliability.
- Development of Manpower mobilization plan for construction activity and equipment mobilization plans.
- 10%-20% travel domestic and international for FAT witness, site surveys, approvals etc.

- Major Projects - (1) Upgrade Control System at Saudi Aramco sites. (2) Electrical Assessment and cathodic protection system testing at Tank farm and loading berth of Saudi Aramco. (3) Shutdown maintenance of field instruments, Turbine instruments and valves of KJO gas plant (4) Installation of UFM at Saudi Aramco site, installation of Positioner at Abqaiq plant of Saudi Aramco.
- Familiar with SAP systems, Primavera, Aramco standards (SAMSS, SAIP, SAEP, SAES), International codes and standards.
- Vendor approvals and prequalification’s with clients including Saudi Aramco, Sabic, JANA, Marafiq, SATORP, SEC, Maadain etc.

- Preparing and reviewing of all engineering & construction documents viz Instrument Schedule, Input/output Schedule, Specification and Datasheets for Field Instruments/Fire & Gas Detectors and signaling devices, Cable Block Diagram, I/O List, Instrument location and cable routing Layout, Termination & Wiring diagram, Loop Diagram, Cause and effect diagrams, Fire and gas detection drawings, Operation & Control philosophies, Hook-up drawings for field instruments.
- Estimation of cable, tray, pneumatic tubes, Impulse tubing, fittings, accessories and instruments from P&ID drawings, location and cable routing drawings, instrument hook-up drawings, preparation of bulk material take off etc.
- Site Supervision and co-ordination, plan and execute daily work schedules, assess and arrange resources and materials required to ensure timely completion of project.
- Prepare and issue job status report to ensure progress is in accordance with project schedule.
- Execution of erection, installation, calibration, testing, commissioning, trouble shooting and maintenance of Instrumentation (viz Field/analytical instruments, flow meters, MOV, ESDV, Control valves) and F&G equipment’s and panels.
- Good knowledge in installation, testing, commissioning of monitoring and control systems like conditioning and vibration monitoring system, compressor controls, motor operated valves control system, inventory management system and various ESD, DCS, FGS and SCADA.
