Facilitating implementation of Safety Policy and Procedures to meet HSE objectives and targets defined in HSE Plan.
Participates & prepares Risk Assessments at site based on method statements and ensures implementation of Risk Control measures.
Identify, evaluate & communicate the applicable Laws & regulation pertaining to Health Safety & Environmental requirements and its implication while operating in the country.
Advice, assist and guide project personnel regarding HSE issues.
Carries out safety inspection tours for all areas, identifies potential hazards & recommends solutions.
Imparted internal safety training on various subjects of Occupational Health and Safety to employees of all categories as per company requirements.
Conduct weekly and monthly Safety meetings and attend client safety meetings.
Maintained records, reports, and documents to meet company HSEMS requirements.
Accident & Near Miss Reporting, Investigation and follow up of corrective actions to avoid the recurrence.

Investigates and reports to project management cases involving injury, fire and property damage and recommends means of preventing re-occurrence. Prepares reviews and maintains records and statistical data which are required by the safety chief engineer, the client and the Department of Labour and Employment from time to time. Conducts regular safety meeting such as Tool Box Talk, Shop sub-committee, sub-contractor meeting, and safety consciousness campaign being launched in company.

Also responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe condition to ensure personnel safety working on site. Coordinate with the client and act on their recommendations. Advise project management on the prevention of injury to personnel & damage to plant and equipments. Conduct safety orientation, safety toolbox meeting, safety training and daily site inspection.

Report directly to Safety Engineer assigned on site. Monitor the only safe work methods are in operation that the health and safety requirement are being observed on site. Recommend and initiates installation of safety signage’s safety bulletins to remind personnel to work safely and to enhance safety awareness. Attend safety trainings and weekly meetings were safety matters are in agenda

Conduct job safety orientation for new and transferred employees at the job site including familiarization with their work environment and construction hazards. Strictly enforce the wearing of personnel protective equipments. Give advice on safe use of storage handling of gas cylinders, storage materials and paints. Monitor compliance of electrical safety and assist electrical testing activities. Supervise housekeeping group.
