Purchasing activity associated with routine purchases i.e. purchase orders,
•Price enquiries and competitive quotations.
•Process paper/remote requisitions to official orders against national and
Local contracts.

•Respond to customer(restaurants) queries on product quality advising on alternative products/suppliers
•Liaise with commodity purchasing staff to ensure appropriate
Sourcing and value for money.
•Communicate across the Organization in the Division on a weekly basis both
electronically and orally to ensure cost effective sourcing of goods/
services for Restaurant and ensuring a professional working relationship.
•Be aware of products stocked by Warehouse logistics in order that this source of
supply is used where appropriate using own initiative following
Consultation with department.
•Work with stakeholders to maintain stock levels and appropriately
replenish stock
•Behave ethically in all business dealings and display the correct level of
conduct and professional approach when in contact with Restaurant and
Suppliers.
•Cover stores duties occasionally if necessary, i.e., process stock orders,
progress orders, receipt, dispatching, delivery of goods to departments
and stock management.
•Provide professional supplies advice and information to Restaurants,
managers and staff, i.e., orally or via forums on correct requisitioning
Procedures.
•Carry out other duties as may be required from time to time consistent with
the scope and grade of the post.
•Progress deliveries with suppliers where appropriate.
•Ability to prioritize personal workload and take immediate action when
required for urgent items.
•Carry out postal duties as and when required.
•Basic knowledge of Health & Safety/Fire regulations when ordering
specific goods.
