While directly reporting to CEO, my key responsibilities are as follows:
Developing / reviewing different types of contracts / agreements for the projects
Administering the contracts and ensuring all terms and conditions are implemented by all projects.
Providing contractual consultation to various departments including execution, estimation, planning & finance.
Identifying high risk clauses during bid stage of the projects.
Developing / reviewing contract amendments.
Preparing / reviewing contractual reports for CEO and BODs.
Performing contract closeout upon completion of projects.
Developing company SOPs on contract & procurement management.
Developing / reviewing negotiation strategies for change orders and claims related to clients and subcontractors.
Negotiate with third parties as part of negotiating teams.
Preparing and presenting award/ waiver recommendations to senior management regarding contractual matters.
Providing guidance and brainstorm with fellow teammates on unique contractual challenges or opportunities.

My key responsibilities were as follows;
General Contracts administration and ensuring that contractual obligations are fully complied with and contractual rights are fully safeguarded till Contract close out and end of defects liability period leading towards issuance of Defect Liability Certificate.
Overseeing the overall project activities in accordance with the provisions of the Contract, ensuring that contemporary records are well maintained focusing on timely serving of notices etc.
Guiding the Site teams in preparation of requests of extension of time (EOT’s) claims and cost claims and reviewing the draft and finalizing the same prior to submittal to the Client.
Review and finalize day to day correspondence on contractual matters produced by the Site team addressed to the Client and all stakeholders.
Identifying the risks and their remedies available in the Contract thereof and ensuring that corrective actions are taken to avoid deviation from the Contract.
Administration of dispute resolution processes including dispute board, arbitration and litigation in coordination with legal experts.
Facilitating the Site team in identification/preparation of potential variation/change orders with duly drawn write-up with substantial records.
Ensuring that the Site team is keeping records in soft and hard form of all correspondences along with their attachments, Contract Documents, Construction Drawings, Progress Photographs, Minutes of Meeting, Field Instructions, Progress Reports and any other related documents/records necessary for substantiation of the claims.
Providing full support to all proposals, projects and to all project contracts throughout their life cycle till the end of the defects liability period.
Business development in preparation of contracts for engineering projects.
Providing support to the procurement department/Maintenance Division.
Managing contracts at two different stages:
i.Pre-Award Contract Management including proposals, contract negotiations and signing.
ii.Post-Award Contract Management including contract administration & management and contract close out.
My key responsibilities were as follows;
Well versed with International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) Fourth Edition 1987 (reprinted in: 1988 with editorial amendments, 1992 with further amendments).
Drafting contractual Letters for correspondence between the Employer, Engineer, Contractor and Subcontractors.
Identifying, developing, establishing, maintaining and accomplishing the claim cases by collecting the contemporary records and other supporting documents to substantiate the cases. Additionally, I am particularly more inclined for response to points pertaining to how claims should be framed and put up in case of technical or other contractual shortcomings.
Procurement Management including planning, formulation and compilation of bidding /tender documents, processing and execution as per requisite criteria set out by Pakistan Engineering Council & Pakistan Procurement Regulatory Authority.
Evaluation and comparison of proposals and tenders submitted by different Tenderers/Bidders in accordance with PEC and PPRA rules on the basis of eminence and reasonable rates.
Dealing with subcontractors from Commencement of the Works until issuance of Final Payment Certificate.
Preparation & compilation of Monthly Statements (MS) and submission to the Engineer along with supporting documents, which the Engineer after receiving such statement, deliver to the Employer an Interim Payment Certificate (IPC) stating amount of payment to the Contractor.
Preparation and compilation of backup sheets, comprising summary sheets, measurement sheets, invoices and other supporting stuff.
Preparation of Monthly Progress Reports (MPR).
Preparation of quotation and rate analysis.
Translation of court & legislative notices from Urdu to English.
Since my joining, I had been involved in all kinds of electrical works, supervision of Saudi Funded & Kuwait Funded
Educational Facilities district Bagh, AJK. My key responsibilities were as below:
Checking and Verification of contractors’ IPCs.
Preparation of BoQs, VOs and Engineer’s Estimate.
Selection of circuit breakers in LV DBs and LV Main Distribution Panels on the basis of power calculations.
Preparation of shop drawings.
Inspection of electrical works.
Earthing and Lightning protection system design (i.e. protection of structures against lightning) based on BS 6651
standard.
Measurement of PVC conduits and wiring.
Compilation of data (maintaining progress report, IPCs and VOs).
Monitoring and evaluation of electrical works as per departmental specifications.
Co-ordination with client and contractors’ representatives
Assisting my Resident Engineer as an active member of the team regarding site issues and required correspondence
with contractors.
Designing of route for LT cables from Transformer to MDP then from MDP to each DB of every block with proper
incomings and outgoings by using AUTO CAD.
