As COMMERCIAL HEAD, I report directly to the Managing Director.

Responsible for Commercial Operations of the entire Automotive and Non-Automotive businesses of the Company.

Part of Corporate Core Team that includes Heads of Projects, Legal and Finance.

Primary responsibility is Principal Management ( Principals such as General Motors, Hyundai Motors, Isuzu Motors, Subaru, LG, BOSCH).

Heading a Team of 10 Engineer /MBAs accountable for Ordering, Stock Management, Product selection, Product Costing and Pricing.

Key Deliverables are Business Plan preparation and finalization with Top Management and Principals; negotiating with Principals for monetary supports in Marketing, Order, Sales and Stock Liquidation.

Handling a part of the total re-exports of Automobiles and Electronic & Home Appliances to MENA markets.

Other major responsibilities involve finalization of Distributorship Agreement after discussions with Legal Team; liaison with Accounts, Shipping and Logistics teams internally and with the Principals to ensure agreed Order-to-Delivery targets are met.

Generate MIS for Top Management and also prepare regular reports to the Principals on Sales, Market, Competition and Supports required.

Commercially evaluate Business investments - present and future, and make suitable recommendations on way forward.

Internally part of Think Tank working on COST REDUCTION initiatives.

Identify new business opportunities - new franchises, new markets.

Here, I initiated my tenure in the Automotive Power Transmission Division.
The roles revolved around Sales and Marketing of Drive Chains, Timing Chains and Fine-blanked components to AUTO OEMs and the After-sales Spare Parts Dealer Market.
I started off as a Product Manager and grew subsequently owing to demonstrated excellence & prowess in the roles.
Moving on, I handled regional and then national responsibilities for the business.
In 2005, I was handpicked to move to the Engineering Division.
The role entailed sales of Automotive Tubular Components to 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler Auto OEMs and their ancillaries nation-wide.
This was the division with largest Turnover and Highest Profit for TII.
I engaged with leading Auto OEM customers including Hero Honda, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Eicher Motors, General Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai Motors and TVS Motors. The role also included engagement with marquee Auto ancillaries including Munjal Showa, Gabriel India, Spicer India, Endurance Technologies, Escorts, PHC, Hanil Lear and Tenneco. Quality, Cost, Delivery and Services along with top line & bottom line objectives were key to this role.
