•Developed and Implemented Lock out, tag out & Try (LT&T) procedure at QAPCO.
•Instrumental in implementing new working at height rules at QAPCO.
•Conducted a study to identify all Manual Material Handling (MMH) activities across the organization to identify significant hazards and their causes to highlight them to the management for corrections and improvements to reduce Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) among the workforce.
•Reduced overall accident rate by 80% through implementation of behaviour Based Safety and implementation of the PPE program.
•Implementing Unsafe Condition Tracking System to raise unsafe conditions identified.

Oversight of implementation of the permit-to-work system, ensuring proper control measures are taken before the commencement of work during Turnaround.
•Supervising and guiding the team of safety officers and safety agents working in the assigned areas
•Attending daily progress meetings and sharing safety observations.
•Liaison with Turnaround Contractor, company maintenance and Operation team and resolve their day-to-day issues.
•Aid in timely review and development of specific safety hazards analysis such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Hazard analysis.

•Conduct regular spot audits and safety checks in the plant to ensure that all plant personnel apply the Golden Rule and wear the correct PPE as required for the job.
•Probing and investigating all significant incidents and near misses by ‘Why Tree analysis’, Root Cause analysis and recommending corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence and records through the action tracking system
•Aid in identifying critical job activities regarding HSE that could lead to downgraded situations and assess their control levels.

•Provide safety advice to all the operation and maintenance supervision for all activities related to Permit to Work (PTW) and critical activities
•Suggest changes to promote best practices and eliminate or reduce actual and potential losses.
•Review the effectiveness of the HSSE management procedures and recommend changes where necessary to ensure that these are up to date in case of an incident or return of experience.
• Assist the process department in studying the HSSE impact on MOC, revamping plants, and expansion projects.
•Develop and recommend safety standards, codes and procedures that become part of the company’s operating instructions.
•Develop and implement health and safety training programs to align with the strategic business plan and meet the requirements of the performance management system and legal obligations.
•Provide information, training, and support to all levels of company staff regarding health, safety and environmental practices, procedures, and best industrial practices.
•Monitor the HSE training data, assess the training effectiveness and develop appropriate training solutions/enhancements to ensure that quality training is provided to staff.
•Assess the need for new training modules and develop a safety training program as necessary to cover emerging topics that would improve staff safety awareness.

•Reviewing safety measures of SOP and SMP, HAZOP, task risk assessment/job safety analysis, PSSR (prestart-up safety review), MOC (field change over and process safety modifications)
•Maintaining compliance with the latest version of national and international safety standards (OSHA)
•Proactively involved in meeting and preparing minutes of meeting for HSE kick-off meeting, pre-pre-start up HSE audit, construction kick-off meeting, weekly safety & progress meeting, monthly safety communication meeting for employees and contractors
•Maintaining analytical approach of behaviour-based safety approaches and techniques throughout the Q-Chem organization by conducting periodic forums, BBS training sessions, communiqués, and similar activities
•Conducting safety campaigns to keep awareness level on high potential at-risk behaviours and safety issues.
•Responsible for all on-site operations related to the rental, sale, maintenance and logistics of safety and work equipment, organization and deployment of safety and security personnel, both daily and turn-around/projects at both the end customer and the on-site existing contractors.
•Acts as an overarching single point of contact (SPOC), both internally and externally. Enlarging the scope of the contract, filling in white spaces.
