• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
• Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
• Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.

• Monitor daily activities in finance and accounting;

• Effective supervision of Finance Officer and Assistants;
• Timely and accurate approval of bank reconciliation;

•Oversee and coordinate financial and administrative systems;
•Communicate/advise CD and AED HQ on financial status of the project and funds availability for project activities;
•Support the CD in maintaining an open and continual information link with USAID/Sudan, and DCSP HQ;
•Prepare wire transfers/cash payments for the project’s three field offices and subcontractors;
•Review all procurement documentation for the 3 field offices: Khartoum, El Fasher and Nyala;
•Supervising Finance officers, HR& Grant Officer, Procurements& Logistic officer in the 3 field offices.
•Provide monthly financial reports and other reports as needed to CD and home office;
•Ensure all transactions and activities are conducted in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and standards;
•Ensure timely budgeting, management and reporting of DCSP finances;
•Ensure compliance with USAID regulations and DCSP procedures in the implementation of all project activities;
•Assure proper allocation of expenditures to funding source and expense categories;
•Act as primary lead in any audits or finance and administrative reviews of the DCSP office;
•Assist with procurement and purchase orders locally to assure USAID and AED regulations are followed;
•Review/process/verify vendor invoices/purchase orders for payment;
•Monitor and review advances;
