• Review design specifications and technical drawings.
• Serve as the site representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of MEP works.
• Manage project schedules and budgets, and obtain permits for operations.
• Make engineering calculations in connection with field and office assignments.
• Investigate problems and recommend solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and standards procedures
• Prepare tender documents and analyze and evaluates all subcontractors and suppliers in order to select the most complying as per requirement and with competitive pricing.
• Performs research and cost evaluation analysis on new product and procedure technologies to ensure the lowest possible customer cost for the service desired.
• Perform detailed calculations to compute the complete electrical design plan in accordance with the latest standards and specifications.
• Drawing up plans using computer-assisted engineering and design software.
• Ensure that the design work by contractor is in accordance with design standards, applicable codes/regulations, and acceptable work practice.
• Witness testing and commissioning of the works.
• Prepare checklists to be used in construction & maintenance for all air base buildings / facilities.
• Assist with the final inspection of the work. Review the adequacy and accuracy of punch lists.
• Monitor final completion of the work.
• Implement and established construction & maintenance programs and maintained detailed maintenance records to ensure recurring problems to all electrical, mechanical, plumbing and special systems.
• Monitor the acceptable quality of works as the project is in progress. Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Responsible for spare parts requisition and ensures the quality of materials to be used.
• Responsible for the inspection of the electrical maintenance works and ensure the quality of work is up to standard prior to consultants final inspection.
• Coordinate with the client representatives to ensure that inspections are carried out expediently.
• Responsible for the preventive and reactive maintenance program scheduling of works for the electrical systems.
• Prepare progress report of electrical maintenance works.
• Prepare method statement for electrical works activities.
• Maintain good record keeping of activities carried out and inspection reports
