I was responsible for the Electrical related construction activities of YKK Bangladesh 2nd Factory Project located at Dhaka EPZ under the supervision of Shimizu Corporation. Sanyo Engineering & Construction Inc. is a Japanese Multinational Company with works mainly involving Japanese clients and JICA funded projects. My scope of works included Installation of HT and LT Power Substation, Installation of Lighting, Power Socket, Fire Alarm, PA and PABX System. I was also involved with modification of all YKK electrical cabling and substation modification works as per Accord Alliance requirements of compliance. I have also worked at the Embassy of Japan for renovation works of their existing premises. The quality of works had to be maintained as per high Japanese standards within very short deadlines.
I had been working in this organization since 2013 and got promoted to Engineer (Electrical) effective from February 2016. My additional responsibilities included serving as a section head as well as attending all day-to-day functions of the Electrical department.
My work involves maintenance and looking after of all the electrical components of machinery at the factory premises. The factory is 100% export oriented yarn producing unit with a 26MW in-house power generation system. The factory consists of machinery from Germany to Switzerland which are involved in different stages of producing yarn from raw cotton. I have to look after log files, machinery troubleshooting, PFI improvement works, maintaining liaison with the top management as well as being involved in new project start-ups. I am currently involved from floor erection to commissioning of an entire factory over the next 12 to 24 months.
I was involved in the sales and service of generator spare parts. Spare parts of generators of various brands such as Wartsila, CATERPILLAR, Jenbacher etc. were supplied as per client requirements. The product range included cylinder liners, cylinder head components, engine bearing, fuel injection systems, piston rings, pistons, gaskets & sealing sets, filter elements, lube oil & fuel separators / PHA parts & engine automation and electrical components.
I have worked as an English Language teacher at one the most reputed English medium schools in Dhaka city. My responsibilities included preparing lesson plans and resources for the classroom, conducting assigned classes at the times scheduled and marking homework and pieces of assignment.
My responsibilities included:
* Consult and negotiate with clients to prepare specifications, explain proposals and present engineering reports and findings.
* Assign, co-ordinate and review the technical work of the department.
* Recruit personnel and oversee development and maintenance of staff competence in required areas.
