• Performs systematic claims review to establish validity of a claim and then determination of settlement if any based on policy terms and conditions
• Developed and implemented claims guidelines and strategy to ensure accurate and timely claims settlement and compliance particularly in assuring “auditability” of claims
• Provides month end, quarterly, and year end claims report and portfolio assessment
• Coordination of claims evaluation with reinsurers and other third parties
• Ensure customer satisfaction with regards to claims settlements and conflict resolution especially on denied claims
• Maintain good relations with brokers, sales agents, other intermediaries and service providers as well as negotiate as required to achieve favourable agreements (ex. ex-gratia considerations)
