Responsibilities - Operations Manager
Overall in-charge of operations of all four branches located in UAE and Qatar;
Accountable to the Owners of the company with regards to profits and losses;
Responsible for ordering fresh and preserved roses on a weekly basis from suppliers based in Ecuador and Colombia including shipment status monitoring, clearing, segregating, and transportation to warehouse.
Also responsible for ordering vases and other floral supplies from local and international suppliers;
Created Operations Manual to be used and adhered by the branches and future franchisees;
Managed budgets and costs effectively in respect of the planning process;
Determined selling prices of products and services;
Identified any skill gaps in the organisation and undertook training programs to support this;
Trained staff and managers to ensure that everyone was performing adequately in their role;
Provided a leadership support function to teams and motivated staff to achieve goals;
Ensured key performance indicators were in place and production targets were met;
Implemented any new policies and procedures relating to the production process;
Fostered an environment of teamwork to ensure that all products are delivered on time and goals are met;
Maintain an updated directory of business contacts worldwide;
Register the company to international events such as exhibitions and conferences;
Serve as eye and ear of the company to inform the Owners about the general mood/sentiments in the company.
Responsibilities - Head Floral Designer
Determined the type of arrangement desired, the occasion, and the date, time, and location that each arrangement was needed;
Recommended flowers and greenery for each arrangement;
Considered the customer’s budget when making recommendations;
Designed floral displays that evoke a particular sentiment or style;
Answered telephones, took orders, wrapped arrangements.
Administrative Duties:
Established and maintains organized filing of financial records and other supporting
documents related to daily store operations
Prepares and distributes correspondents to clients
Prepares invoice necessary for payment collection and issues receipt to clients
Overall in-charge of maintaining stock inventory level of materials and supplies which include
ordering and receiving
Prepares and submits daily & monthly sales reports to head office summarizing store’s
performance versus target
Collates and summarizes timesheet of store staff and submits to payroll.
Handles reception
Customer Service & Florist Duties:
Plans arrangement according to client's requirements, utilizes knowledge of design and
properties of materials, and selects appropriate standard design pattern.
Overall in-charge of supervising booked events including decoration of venue according to
client’s specifications
Creates and innovates new and unique design patterns
Liaises with drivers and supervises on-time delivery of orders to clients
