Purpose of Job:
To manage all services and operations within the Air Base and maintain ongoing relations with U.S. and Coalition Forces while developing DHL business further in the area.

Reporting to Station Manager, main responsibilities are:
-Manage the day-day operation of the centre to ensure that pick-up, delivery, front counter, service centers & shipment processing are carried out effectively & that agreed service 7 cost performance targets are achieved.
-To provide complete logistical support to U.S. and Coalition Forces and ensure the smooth operation of all inbound and outbound services.
-To sell DHL products and services to maintain and expand sales revenue and yield.
-Maintain excellent relations with all levels of U.S. and Coalition Forces. Initiate through regular call cycles with all DOD units.
-Oversee the Air Charter Operation; operating equipment & ensuring timely input & communication of related data to ensure aircraft are loaded/unloaded safely, to industry standards.
-Ensure all I.T. related systems and peripherals are implemented with the minimum disruption to the business and oversee the correct maintenance and support of customer automation.
-Ensure that all DHL facilities & assets are maintained in good working condition externally & internally.
-Ensure that DHL’s service standards, objectives & code of conduct are met or exceeded at all times.
Ensure that security standards are maintained at all times.
-Recommend policies, methods, processes, techniques for the business; create/conceptualise new methods, techniques, and/or processes.
-Responsible for operations KPIs in transit time, costs, service quality and data quality. You need to manage the operation raw data, conduct root cause analysis to identify the performance gaps, prepare reports and work on the improvement action plan. Monitor performance and report on any performance deviations.

-Responsible for implementation of special projects within area of responsibility.
-Build collaborative working relationships across groups; work closely with the sales team to promote DHL's sales growth by advising on customer activities; ensure client's logistical needs are met and satisfaction is successfully achieved with the goal of maximizing profitability for the company.
