Worked as an Electrical engineer in Police station complex project at Hasik, Salalah. Project included Police station building, civilian Barracks, recreation centre, officers Villas, Workshop and Electrical Service yard building.

Duties involved are study tender and IFC documents and drawings and report any discrepancies, prepare look ahead program, project material and manpower planning, Quantity take off from drawings using autocad, prepare rfi and MIR documents and get approval from client representative, monitor all electrical execution activities, testing of cables and other equipments, prepare as built documents etc

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


 Study the tender documents, shop drawings and project sepcifications.
 Takeout quantity from approved shop drawings, tender documents.
 Optimum resource management including manpower and materials as well as equipments.
 Ensure to achieve the weekly/monthly target set by planning team .
 Ensure timely completion of works by maintaining Quality as per the International standards(IEC/NEC) and Project Specifications.
 Co-ordinate with subcontractors for followup of Electrical works.
 Obtain approval from consultant (RFI approval) for the work executed.
 Co-ordinate with other disciplines like HVAC, Plumbing.
 Attend site meetings for any project related issues on weekly/ monthly basis.
 Testing of LV and ELV systems.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


•Review of various shop drawings related to electrical installation.
•Preparation of ITP and checklists related to various electrical works.
•Checking the electrical materials to be used at jobsite including cables and various panels as per the material submittal.
•Co-ordinate with site engineers to achieve the highest quality.
•Check the work prior to final inspection with the consultant / concerned authorities.
•Review of asbuilt drawings as per the actual site conditions.
•Issuing nonconformance report if the work is not as per the project specification
•Issuing defect reports to site management, if found any.

Works involved at the site are as below.

•Monitor & supervise all electrical works including electrical substation of medium voltage (33 KV distribution system), including electrical control room.
•Monitor & supervise installation of various electrical systems at the site.
•I also have knowledge of building management system.
•Maintenance of lighting distribution systems, power distribution systems and other low voltage systems.
•Restoring Electricity Supply during power failures.Analysing prevention schemes to avoid such power failures in future.
•Protection for lightning faults.
•Operation and maintenance of lifts, D.G. Set(upto 225 kva rating), fire hydrant pump etc.
•Maintenance of Yard lighting system.
•Material Handling at the site depending upon specifications and various calculations.
•Review, monitor and report the daily progress of work to Project manager
