Reports to the Director of Technology. In charge of product development activities from conceptualization to industrialization with a focus on construction chemicals. Working closely with different functions such as sales, product performance and application, marketing and supply chain to make sure that new products meet the market needs and The Group’s profitability targets. Also, work on improving existing products by following closely developments on new raw materials and trends on new application methods.
Direct responsibility to achieve local targets and fulfill actions as agreed with business team and local Management. Systematically collect, analyze and present customer, market, industry trends and competitor information/data (commercial and technical). Develop and implement country specific business strategies and align it with business team. Responsible to identify and assess potential new distribution channels in line with business and logistic strategies. Responsible for servicing existing customers on regular basis and acquiring new accounts in their field of responsibility. Maintain, develop and enhance customer relationships for existing and potential customers.

Job Description:
Product development for Paints, Silicon Resin Emulsion Paint, Base coats, Plasters, Concrete protection and hydrophobicity using VAE Dispersions and Silicones for Middle East and Africa Regions. Preparation and testing of samples as per European Standards (Hiding Power, Scrub resistance, etc.) and as per ASTM Standards (Specular Gloss, Blocking, etc.

Position: Chemical Engineer (Construction Polymer Department, Technical center Dubai)
Job Description:
• Product Development for Self leveling compound, Plasters & Renders, Sealing Slurry, Cementitous tile Adhesive and tile grout, skim coat, and cementitious powder paint for Middle East and Africa Region.
• Product testing as per European Standards ( EN 1308, 1348, 1346 etc. ) and as per Wacker method, using Universal Testing Machine, Compressive and Flexural Machnine, Abrasion resistance Machine, Pull-off machine, etc.
• Ensures that the laboratory conforms as per ISO 9001:2000, ISO 17025:2005 and ISO 14000.
• In charge in warehouse. (Raw material, incoming samples, additives inventory, and warehouse management.)
• Providing technical support to customers like BASF, FOSROC, SIKA, HENKEL, FALCON, etc.
•Bulk sample testing (Shampoo, Lotion, Powder, Face & hair cream, DWL etc.)
•Finished Product Analysis
•Incoming inspection of raw material

•Monitor and control the quality of product at various stages of production
•Carry out analysis of waste water, deionized water, chlorinated water
