My current responsibilities in Security forces Hospital in Dammam are preparing orders medications for IN & OUT Patient Pharmacy. Where that is including both IV and other medication items. Also, prepacking unit dosages, sorting expired and near expired items. Preparing and dispensing ER patients medications and taking a place to operate it myself. As well as following the department of pharmacy work flow and participating in its activities.
I’ve been holding the responsibility of the controlled and narcotic drugs, such as requesting, counting and dispensing. As well as working in the other pharmacy’s workflow.
In my role of being as a volunteer as a Pharmacy Technician, I provided support to the Pharmacists in helping collate the medicine for patients. My responsibilities include:
• Weigh out the ingredients ready for each prescriptions
• Sorting the medicines and selecting the correct medicines to give out
• Ensuring that the prescriptions are accurate and checked appropriately by the pharmacist
• Create labels with the patients name and address and the medicine usage details
• Quality control - Keeping track of stock and re ordering new stock as required
• Keeping the work area clean and tidy and free from dirt as working with medicines
• Provide advice to patients coming in or medicines and advice relating to illness or smoking etc.
• Accounting assistance.
• My responsibilities included Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of workers.
• Advise workers on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
• Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.
• Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards. Coordinate recipe development and standardization and develop new menus for independent food service operations.
• Inspect food quality and supply stores
My responsibilities included organizing and filling medications. Prepared the prescriptions for pharmacists. Helped to taking inventory, filling shelves, packing medication, labeling medication, drug inventory and drug distribution. Working elsewhere in the storesas.
