The core of the responsibilities as a technical legal officer are the following :

- Draft and Provide legal analysis and/or legal advise to the beneficiaries of ICLA program
- Supervise the external lawyers of ICLA program related to the Norwegian Refugee Counsel and ensure the protection of the refugees represented in the court.
- Assist in drafting SOPs governing the international refugee law framework and the bodies that effect the refugee population in Jordan.
- Responsible on the payments and budget approvals of the potential represented cases in court.
- Provide presentation to the ministry of interior staff on ICLA's intervention with the refugee population in the host country, and the legal framework, obstacles faced while accessing their rights.
- Act as a focal point on the durable solutions (Return) preparedness for asylum seekers and refugees in Jordan
