 Work closely with Drilling and Workover department during Operations Safety Plan development, including assessing and applying contractor safety management systems, supporting / supplementing contractors Life Saving Rules programs, ensuring plans address high potential risk areas, and meet the requirements of company’s Management System
 Organize and participate in investigations and follow-up of incidents, including development of corrective action plans, providing root cause analysis expertise, when required
 Provide technical leadership, subject matter expertise, and tactical support covering following activities:
o Support company rig operations SHE assessments and reviews at various rig sites
o Support tool development, deployment & maintenance, e.g., contractor safety, best practices, manuals & guides, assessments, LSRs, etc.
o Special projects and initiatives development and deployment
o Data analysis - collect, analyze, and report data on leading and lagging indicators on safety performance and or safety initiatives, making recommendations on improvement opportunities and new safety initiatives - consolidating data for the monthly Rig contractor KPI meeting
o Effectively communicate SHE expectations, best practices and lessons learned
o Training development and mentoring rig teams on SHE topics
o Support collaboration across company operations
o Share safety-related lessons learned (internally)
o Conduct Safety Leadership Workshops offshore
o Lead daily SHE topics, offshore rig quarterly focus topics, and PCAT reviews
o Leading the Short Service Employee program, identifying best stop card of the day, Rig of the Quarter preparation
o Use technology to pro-actively drive awareness campaigns and/or materials: e.g., developing onboard awareness videos for topics such as well control, dropped objects, line of fire, human factors, etc. as requested/deemed necessary

 Demonstrate active, engaged and visible leadership via ‘boots on deck’ approach
 Act as HSSEQ Subject Matter Expert ensuring HSSEQ, Flag State compliance, regulatory, customer/contractual requirements and company management system are clearly understood and implemented
 Conduct internal audits including ISM, ISPS and HSSEQ audits and manage external Regulatory and Customer audits. Support close-out of action items.
 Engage with Senior Management to ensure integration of HSSEQ requirements and objectives into operations planning and execution
 Engagement with Rig Managers and OIMs to ensure consistency and alignment with HSSEQ requirements and objectives
 Facilitate development of HSSEQ procedures to ensure area/rig procedures are produced for specific regulatory compliance.
 Responsible for the development, management of onshore Emergency Response Plans. Ensuring All ERPS and MERPs are up-to-date and controlled
 Actively Support Rig Start-Ups, including early engagement with rigs and close liaison with project team, working with Corporate HSSEQ team and rig management team to ensure resources identified and in place for effective pre-operations support and successful delivery of Operations Start Up HSE Program
 Ensure notification of HSE events as per requirements
 Schedule and deliver Area HSE meetings and other communications and monitor and lead improvement of quality and effectiveness of HSE communication in the Area
 Conduct performance reviews with Area, Operations and Rig Management teams and provide support as required to meet HSSEQ performance targets, leading indicator compliance and expectations.
 Ensure all incidents are investigated and review investigations for quality, comprehensiveness and system compliance. Act as Lead Investigator when required
 Monitor and review audit results to determine development Areas across Area fleet to improve compliance and drive safe operations
 Monitor and review leading indicators across Area, including quality of Safety Observation cards, Worksite Verifications / PTW Audits etc. to identify trends and address issues proactively.
 Identify and communicate industry good practices, lessons learned, safety and environmental alerts with Operations and the company fleet. Ensure implementation of findings and results are communicated with management for appropriate action
 Oversee development, monitoring and implementation of Area and Rig HSE plans
 Support Rig Managers and Safety Officers on required reporting and carry out compliance and quality assurance checks to ensure quality of actions, evidence for actions and close-out are provided on cases
 Frequent direct communication with OIMs and Safety Officers to review rig HSSEQ issues and improvements
 Oversee Occupational Health/ Industrial Hygiene requirements across the Area
 Review with Medical Services Provider and Corporate Medical Director Patient Trends and other Health KPIs.
 Oversee quality of ENVID’s and Environmental Aspects/ Impacts registers on all rigs

Customer
 Ensure Customer Bridging documents are in place and current
 Support operations with engagement with customer as required
 Engage with customer’s HSSEQ teams and 3rd service providers

Regulatory
 Know in detail regulatory requirements and regimes in Area of operations
 Maintain engagement and strong working relationships with regulatory representatives
 Manage, maintain and participate (where appropriate) in regulatory audits and rig close-out meetings.

HSSEQ Team Development
 Continually challenge and develop Area HSSEQ team to ensure succession planning and a competent HSSEQ support structure that achieves excellence in work planning, identifying risks, communication, problem solving, investigation and HSE leadership.
 Ensure HR performance management requirements implemented for Area HSSEQ team

 Assist personnel in HSE related aspects of the company’s operations.
 Develop and implement HSE objectives and targets.
 Develop and review HSE policies, procedures and other documentation.
