•Pressure relief system verification British gas (storage and distribution facility Tunisia).
•FEED study -Advance energy recovery project for ‘’Thames Water’’ Oxford and Beddington waste water treatment facilities.
The study looked at using Pyrolysis technology to maximize the syngas production to produce electricity and to reduce the solid waste to landfill.
The payback was calculated for this scheme was 6 years.
Detailed P&ID’s, datasheets, control philosophy, cost estimates for major equipment, mass and energy balance completed for Thames Water.
Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee the process engineering element of contractor performance on conceptual studies, FEED and detailed design work.
•Lead and participate in PEER assists, PEER Reviews and Technical Assurance reviews to ensure compliance with the Assurance Framework and approvals procedures.
•Assist in the development of best practice guidelines, processes and procedures.
•Liaise with Development Managers, Subsurface professionals, Operations and Commercial Managers to support development opportunities and deliver optimized proposals.
•Identify opportunities for technology development and pursue with sources of expertise.
•Provide ad-hoc support to wider Venture Project Team

Achievements
• Designed and installed drum decontamination unit on site. Total Project cost £100K. The project reduced 3rd party disposal cost of used raw material drums. The project also created a revenue stream for site to sell & reuse the clean drums.
• Introduced CIP cleaning system at Clayton site to clean the batch reactors more effectively. This change saved cleaning time and also reduced cleaning waste.
• Specified and installed continuous distillation unit to produce 50 MT/ day desired product.
• Specified and installed a carbon bed filter to abate Xylene from process waste stream.
My key responsibilities in this role were: • Leading a team of three process engineers.
• Providing technical support to manufacturing facilities in UK and Germany.
• New products introduction on site. Writing operating procedures. Providing operator training & coaching.
• Supporting operations team as a technical expert when dealing with external authorities such as (HSE, EA)
• Interface with other internal engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure a coordinated design and complete engineering deliverables are achieved.
• Development of equipment layouts. Process equipment specifications, data sheets.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives on site to reduce utility consumption, capacity improvement.

Key responsibilities were:-
• Design, selection and operation of material off-loading, conveying and storage systems for different types of Biomass fuels.
• Project management of research and development projects for Biomass co-firing, milling, drying, pneumatic conveying and combustion in the existing fossil fuel power plants and utility boilers.
• Involved in developing bespoke handling and processing solutions to client's specific requirements
Achievements
• Developed a design tool to accurately predict the pipe diameter and blower design for optimum lean phase pneumatic conveying of biomass through pipe.
Process Engineer \nCRODA Chemicals Europe Limited | Goole | \n2006-2009 \nKey responsibilities were:- \n• Day-to-day plant support for engineering / technical issues on a top tier COMAH site. \n• Quality improvements of the products by improving the existing processes. \n• I was responsible for keeping plant safety records up to date by ensuring risk assessments and safety records i.e., (DSEAR, HAZOP, PHR) are in order. \n \nAchievements \n• Designed and installed a shell and tube heat exchanger for heat transfer improvements and reducing the cooling and heating times. \n• Installed an Ethylene Oxide vapours recovery packed column scrubber system. \n• I developed the maintenance strategy for the plant.
