Full responsibility for all consumable and production suppliers including price negotiation, purchase order maintenance and logistical improvement activities. I controlled the company sub-contract stores and monitored and reported stock profiles, quality and delivery performance of procured items. I was also responsible for the scheduling and progressing of all products sourced in Japan and co-ordinated the sourcing of products in China.
Achievements:
-Re-sourced £2million of press work into Turkey with and annual saving of approx £200, 000. This included a visit to all suppliers for assessment and negotiation.
-Established a logistics contract for the above project creating a cost-effective, on-time ex-works supply chain.
-Established and managed relationships with manufactures in China, with a forecasted annual cost saving to the value of £150, 000.
-Managed the stores through two ISO/TS16949:2002 audits with zero minor non-conformances
