•Manage day to day operation of NHL portfolio and its growth, trend and analysis as well as ongoing due diligence.

•Managed Oracle integration to automate reporting, analyzing and monitoring, compliance checking and control.

•Developed Standard Operating Procedures and MIS to control the portfolio output in terms of quantity & quality both for automated and manual processes and ensure that operational risks are mitigated as per best market practice. Also developed the Management System for safe keeping and easy monitoring of documents and their title.

•Implementation of Key Control Standards (KCS) and ensuring adherence to the Know Your Customer (KYC) norms.

•Bridged the stakeholder engagement between Department of Finance & Private Housing Loans Authority for Nationals, during the initial hand over of the NHL Project. Sole and Central point of reference for ADHA.

•Authorize to approve bank guarantee letters, manager cheques and disbursal of loans for up to AED 2 million as well as authority of mortgage strike off.

•Manage a team of 15 staff who are responsible for loan documentations and its disbursement, maintenance and lodgment for credit operation service delivery.

•Manage end to end recruitment, staff training of system, policy and procedural understanding. Ensure each staff has a proper defined role. Handled performance management along with ongoing coaching and mentoring.

•Liaising with Consumer Banking Business to ensure effective cross-selling the retail products such as mortgage financing, SME working capital, Pl & Liability products as well as developing new products.

•Auditing practices prevalent in consumer banking service delivery, and support operations in achieving their objective as per advised audit process. This included liaising and managing with Legal & Compliance as well as overseeing the audit certification since the inception of the unit.

•IT partner for system automation requirements, development of business requirement documents, development of Functional Specification Documents, User Acceptance Tests (UATs), system interface requirements and planning and execution of dry runs in a simulated go live environment.

•Managed teams of Personal and Mortgage loan responsible for credit operation service delivery, process automation and system enhancement under structured hierarchy level. Acted as a central point of reference for sales, marketing and credit teams across the region (UAE and Qatar).

•Authorized signatory for offer letters, principal approvals and home loan disbursals.

This has resulted in an increase in productivity levels, improved turnaround time and quality and has helped bring in more robust controls. Reviewed risks & ensured diligent controls, validated policy rules. Ensured compliance with the limits, pricing, the terms and conditions for credit facilities sanctioned to individual borrowers.

•Liaised with IT for technology solutions, development and implementations.

•Acted as the last filter in the limit approval process where the exposures undertaken by Mashreq / Osool for its Commercial and Retail borrowers are adequately reviewed and scrutinized to ensure adherence of approvals, credit and product policies and manuals.

•Prepared exception report, statement of expired lines, statement of progress in classified accounts for Higher Management (Head of CBG).

•Monitored the value of collateral e.g. stocks and shares, mortgages, inventory statements to ensure that shortfall (if any) is immediately recognized and reported for redressal. Identified any irregularity / deviation / exception in the conduct of borrowing accounts and promptly address those to the relationship manager and Credit Dept. for an early resolution.
