• Identifying vendors in the market, through various indoor & outdoor sources.
• Identifying & recommending the reliable and economic vendors
• Planning, Organizing & Directing all the activities to the down the level staff.
• Checking & Initializing of Purchase Orders
• Checking of weekly follow-up report for pending purchase orders.
• Verifying material received indent, specially regards to descriptions.
• Co-ordination with other departments like Planning, Stores, Project Management for
Procurement of right material.
• Scrutinizing Purchase orders Prepared.
• Visit to outside agencies like Suppliers, manufactures & especially in case of high value
material.
• Co-ordinate with various departments for smooth functioning of departmental activity.
• Through understanding of civil construction material, finishing items and interior items for residential, commercial and hospitality building.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Confers with department supervisor to determine overdue material and parts and to inform
supervisors of material status
• Locates and distributes materials to specified production area, manually or using handcart, hand
truck, or forklift.
• Records and maintains perpetual inventory of quantity and type of materials and parts received,
stocked, and distributed, manually or using computer.
• Compiles and maintains records, such as material inventory records, production records, and
Store Daily Receiving reports, Delivery notes, Way bills, manually and using computer.
• May direct truck operator and Material handler to expedite transfer of materials form stock area to production areas.
• May examine material received, verify parts number, Serial/Model Numbers, Mill Testing
Certificates, Factory Assembling Test certificates, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked material/ Parts.
• May Compare work ticket specification to material used at work stations to verify appropriate
assignment.
