Sami Ben Tekaya

Steg Energies Renouvelables is a company specialized in renewable energies and co-generation. I integrated the Steg Energies Renouvelables team on November 1st 2010. I was assigned as an engineer in the CSP (Concentrating Solar Power) team. I am a member in the team charged to make a feasibility study of an Integrated Solar Combined Cycle (ISCC) power plant. On the other hand I am also a charged to make a feasibility study of a concentrating solar power plant using the parabolic trough technology and a photovoltaic power plant with other partners.
During my work, I have gained an experience not only in the solar energy generating systems field, but also in the fossil fuels power plants since I have had some training at the most important power plants in Tunisia such as Radès and Sousse power plants. During these trainings, I have strengthened my knowledge on power plants field, energy generation process (gas turbines, steam turbines…) and of course the safety rules in the power plants. Otherwise, I have had the possibility to stay one month in the Ghannouch Combined Cycle site during construction phase and it was very beneficial for me to assist in the start-up tests and commissioning
