• Documented and designed several deployment and roll out processes to maintain software and hardware.
• Enhance monitoring and performance of existing Salik toll road system using C code in QNX(Linux/Unix based RTOS) environment and Windows environment.
• Developed a web user interface in ASP.NET and database in SQL for incident management.
• Implemented a web based metrics viewer which displays any lags in processing time while indicating live traffic counts.
• Created test applications using C and C# along with test plans to test whether future QNX OS and hardware upgrades will improve CPU usage, memory usage, disk I/O and network performance for the toll road system.
• Developed an SNMP agent for the QNX environment in C to monitor all major metrics such as CPU, memory, disk I/O and disk utilization on zone controllers using standard monitoring tools like SCOM.

Software Engineer at Future Communicaitons Company
  • Kuwait - Al Kuwait
  • August 2011 to December 2011

• Managed and developed the automated SMS system with a user friendly interface for basic clerks at Public Institution for Social Security in Kuwait.
• Managed and developed a reporting interface web application for the automated SMS billing system at Ministry of Electricity and Water using ASP.net, Crystal Reports and SQL database.
• Implemented a client customizable bilingual web application in English and Arabic for the automated SMS system using ASP.net and SQL database.

Software Engineer at Halliburton
  • United States
  • January 2010 to May 2011

• Managed a team of 4 to design the specification, development and testing of the down-hole flushing feature. The feature reduced non productive time of reading tools by 85%.
• Implemented common reusable curve compression algorithms in C so that it can be used by the embedded code and the user level simulator to improve data transfer rates by 3 times in telemetry system.
• Developed a multi-threaded simulator both for testing and marketing the curve compression system to customers in C#.
• Worked in a team of over 10 people to implement and test the curve compression system.
• Analyzed field data to test a base delta compression algorithm on density images and added support for the algorithm on the tool and at the processing level on surface to improve data rate by 10% in C# and C.
• Integrated non generic tool read and download applications into the central tool read and download application so that the user needs to be familiar with how to use one application only in C#.
• Added support for communication cards for simulation of tools in C++.

Software Engineer at Halliburton
  • United States
  • May 2009 to July 2009

• Developed a utility program that sets internet options and network settings based on whether user wants dynamic mode or static mode to connect to the local network. The program essentially allows field engineers to set all settings with just one click when getting data off a tool.
• Simulated a program in C# for downloading data from a tool while the tool is connected through Ethernet. A record mode and a replay mode was implemented so that field engineers can record when doing an actual download and the replay mode can be used by software developers to remove bugs and simulate the field situation.
• Introduced a tab control feature using C# and object oriented design for in house form editor specific to tool parameters to allow user to design space efficient forms.

Software Engineer at Halliburton
  • United States
  • May 2008 to July 2008

• Implemented an interface using sockets for Ethernet CBM cards to be placed on new tools to be used with current software in managed C++ by providing a master, slave and sniff mode for data monitoring over the card.
• Designed an application that searched all Microsoft Access Databases on the local server for specific strings to help serve as a utility program when adding support for new tools used on an oil field.
• Created several next generation utility programs to test major features to be added to the next release of Sperry-Insite.

IT Support at Louisiana State University

• Maintained the undergraduate and graduate computer labs according to the guidelines provided by the IT department.
• Trained new employees to maintain computer stations for the labs.

System Analyst at Entergy
  • United States
  • February 2007 to August 2007

• Initiated the easier analysis of certain data by creating a windows application using Visual C++ which automatically analyzed data and presented it in the format required and by providing detailed user documentation so that other employees can run the application and use the data for presentations.
• Created a Windows application using Visual C++ to sort large amounts of data and to capture specific data in a text file.
• Maintained and connected terminal servers to existing UNIX computers.
• Setup large number of computers for use in control rooms for monitoring various plant activities by creating and following a step-by-step guide to maintain the computers effectively.
