My job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Engagement planning based on the understanding of the client’s business processes and assessment of business and audit risks, supervision of the engagement, review and finalization, including close liaison with the client’s management;
• Coordinating with various professionals such as lawyers, actuaries, independent valuators and IT experts;
• Decision-making is respect of critical reportable matters;
• Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with an applicable financial reporting framework including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local corporate laws and directives of regulatory authorities, and providing ongoing assurance and advisory services regarding internal controls, risk management, taxation and accounting treatment of complex transactions; and
• On-the-job training and professional development of staff.
My job responsibilities included, but not limited to:
• Formulating audit strategy, preparing audit plan, and managing its progress;
• Reviewing working papers and getting the deliverables reviewed by partner and their sign off;
• Coordinating with various professionals; managing staff and mobilizing resources on the project;
• Ensuring the budget recovery milestones were attained;
• Managing client relationship and filling expectation gap; and
• Managing portfolio of clients; resolving conflict; and mentoring personnel.
