Variations, Pricing new items, subcontractors payments, Leading QS team, monthly payments

• Measurement of construction works (building, bridges, sewage treatment, landscaping, street lighting, road construction and highway maintenance)
• Demolition surveying, surveys and reports on structural conditions
• Checking of site inspection reports JMs for various works as per approved construction drawings and site verification works executed by the contractor
• Monitoring of cost (cost control) to achieve cost target, feeding back value to construction team on site
• Managing procurement of materials and resources
• Contractual negotiations of claim submissions of subcontractors and consultants
• Monitoring each stage of construction to make sure that costs are in line with forecasts
• Assessment of variations
• Check all quantities of subcontractor accounts, re-measure all work carried out with land surveyors and support subcontractors in the preparation of final accounts.
• Preparing the detailed specifications and obtain the estimates of additional cost in case of a variation i.e. a change in approved drawing or any addition to the job in order to obtain approval of the client.
• Participating the site progress review meetings and reporting on the progress.
• Assist in preparation of documents for change/variation orders, supplemental agreements & additional works including itemized cost of revision as well as follow-up status of submittals with the concerned client representatives or bureau.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare project budget and subsequent cost estimates and cost management plans.
• Support tendering including bills of quantities, bids evaluation and allocating work to contractors and sub-contractor.
• Prepare cost-performance reports and maintain standard unit price costs based on actual performance.
• Provide advice and ensure contractor compliance on contractual terms and conditions.
• Review and approve compliance and validity of contractors Insurance Policies, Company Guarantees, Performance Bond and relevant construction licenses.
• Advise and make recommendations on all design changes which impact project budget.
• Adjust and update cost management plan as per approved change requests.
• Attend project meetings and represent all QS issues and actions.
• Attend meetings with client for all QS / cost aspects during project.
• Prepare project QS / costs and cash flow reports.
• Review Construction drawing, specification, Bill of Quantities and other relevant contract documents relative to the program and description of Works.
• Obtain Quotations from various Suppliers and Subcontractors, review and evaluate Cost proposal relative to the scope and program of works, contract terms and delivery.
• Prepare of interim valuations, preparing Sub contractors and suppliers Payment certificate and certifying along with work done & delivery notes.
• Prepare Variation Orders as per the site execution & Construction Drawings against Tender Drawings.
• Coordinate with the project engineers with Junior Quantity surveyors/sub-contractors for the
• Progress reports relative to the Payment certificates.
• Coordinate with project inspectors regarding project accomplishments, completions and final acceptance.
