Work as a team member in the Procurement Directorate, Strategic Sourcing division assisting Senior Procurement buyers with tender development, supplier liaison and gathering information from stakeholder groups throughout the organization. Other responsibilities include:

Assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors to promote good procurement practice with due regard to sustainability and ethical purchasing standards;
Responsible for drafting of Request for quotation to bidders, letter of intent, letter of award and regret letter;
Preparing the Bill of quantities to the contractors to get quotations;
Follow up with contractors to get quotation before the Bid closing date;
Review the technical evaluation & commercial evaluation report before submittal to Manager & Limited Tender Committee for approval;
Prepare bulletins to clarify contractor queries;
Prepare technical clarifications to subcontractors to clarify end user/purchase request initiator queries;
Organize meetings, and liaise with stakeholders and suppliers on a regular basis about procurement projects and initiatives.
Review bonds/insurance submitted by contractors to ensure compliance with State law & request revisions;
Preparation of weekly report updating status for all Material Requisitions raised falling under each account manager/buyer;
To participate in internal and external meetings promoting procurement best practice;
Develop strong networks and supplier relationships;
Provide admin support, make travel & meeting arrangements, prepare reports and financial data;
Update and chase delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines;
Take initiative in buyer’s absence;
Recommend management action to improve standard operating procedures.
