The course of my Master’s degree provided me with in-depth knowledge of financial markets, the financial management of a banking institution, a more managerial aspect of accounting, and portfolio management and optimization. Dissertation Project: “The relationship between leverage ratio and Credit Default Swap spreads. Evidence from the banking sector”. The project examined the key role that high level of leverage had played before and during the financial crisis of 2008 and the extent to which high leverage and CDS spreads were correlated. I graduated with M.Sc. Merit.
