Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees

Establish contracts and pricing and ensuring proper maintenance and serving as primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies, such as fire, police, health, and safety agencies
Manage relationships with key operations vendors
Track vendor pricing, rebates, and service levels
Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment
Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site. In particular, this includes any issues on-site at client facilities, such as breaking a fence or tape residue on flooring
Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
Work closely with GM and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings
Work closely with the inventory manager and team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data, and reduce sub-rental expenses
Communicate with government licensing and safety departments to ensure all processes remain compliant with governmental regulations.
As a certified facility Manager, I manage all engineering operations including building, plants, heating and cooling system (HVAC), plumbing, water treatment, boilers systems, etc.
Manage effective performance of Engineering team in line with the department objectives and key performance indicators.
I am also responsible for the effective management of all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including energy conservation. It falls under my responsibility the development of the Engineering Team and staying abreast of compliance regulations and procedures in the field of Engineering, as required for hotel standards.
Specifically, it is my duty to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Lead the Engineering Team in the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules
Communicate with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for Guest rooms and public areas.
Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of Guests and Team Members, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property
Communicate with Government agencies to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations
Prepare Capital and Repairs and Maintenance budgets for Engineering
Develop and implement preventive maintenance plan.
Supervise, develops and maintains an ongoing maintenance operation for hotel, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance, hotel rooms, air/heating units, ice machines, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc.
Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers.
Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise
Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs
Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses
Coordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project, and oversee the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed cost effectively
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
Identify and introduce environmentally-friendly systems and equipment
Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Engineering Department and take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity, and other objectives
Manage all Team Member related activities, including recruitment, performance management, training, career planning, disciplinary matters, and team motivation.
Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc.
Managing a Testing and commissioning team for the opening of the new Hilton Garden Inn Avenues hotel in Kuwait. Duties Included:
- Preparing Snagging schedules.
- Developing an inspection plan for all installed equipments accross hilton specifications and standards.
- Coordination of construction work and approvals between Owner, contractor, consulting agency, and Hilton projects office.
- Final handover of hotel equipments and buildings procedures and approval.
Working in Hilton Riyadh Hotel and Residence as a post-graduate trainee in facility management. an intensive program for gifted graduates to fast track them into management roles.
The program includes:
- On the job training by experienced engineers and facility manager.
- An assigned mentor for guidance through the program.
- Technical training on all types of equipment that are involved in facility management certified suppliers.
- Hundreds of online courses through the hilton university in the fields of Engineering, Facility Management, Management, and Power saving.
- In class certifies courses through various established entities to develop managerial and technical skills.
Bachelors in electrical powers and machines engineering.
