Senior MEP Project Manager, Project Cordoba, Miral Abrahamic Family House, Cultural District, Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi ($75m USD New Build).
• Reporting to the Arcadis Project Director and Client/Employer (Miral) Delivery Director.
• Based in the Client’s site offices, managing Consultants, Contractor’s, Sub-Contractor’s MEP teams, managing compliance with Authority requirements & Utility connections.

•Lead and Manage the MEP activities of five package A&E Sub-Consultants on the 5.2Bn QAR Emiri SVIP Mega Palaces Project, Lusail (GHD Package 1 Formal Majlis, Daily Majlis, Mosque & Clinic; Dar-Al-Handasah Package 2 and 3 TJ Palace, TA Palace & Son's Majlis; Dar Al Omran Package 4 TN Palace; AECOM Package 5 Masterplanning, Infrastructure & Central Utility Plant).
•Provide high level Vertical Design Technical support to MEP & Structural engineers.
•Provide high level Horizontal Design Technical support to Infrastructure MEP & Civil engineers.

•Responsible for Resource Management, Project Financial Management, monthly financial reports, financial projections, estimates to complete. Preparation of monthly progress reports. Attendance at weekly technical meetings and bi-weekly progress meetings. Participation in Health & Safety inspections with the PMC and contractor.
•Participation and input into selection and recruitment of other specialist client appointed consultants, including the Commissioning Agent.
•Overseeing and monitoring the duties and performance of the COWI Resident Engineer and his resident site supervision team of 18 No. staff. In conjunction with the site team, review method statements, shop drawings and submittals from the contractor with appropriate comments/approval.
•Overseeing defects inspections and reports and ensuring contractor' appropriate remedial action.
•Providing MEP technical assistance and direction to both the design team and resident supervision team. Liaison with the international design team via weekly teleconference. Liaison with local authorities regarding permitting issues, approvals etc. Ensuring the provision of a professional service in compliance with the Consultant/Client agreement. Preparation of proposals and negotiation of additional fees with the client when "additional" services have been requested.
•MEP Design Manager for ABM Military College, Qatar comprising accommodation, Olympic sized swimming pool and kitchen/mess facilities, estimated construction value of 350m QAR (USD 96m).
•MEP Design Manager for Arabian Gulf University, Sakhir Campus, Bahrain. This project comprised the renovation of 40 existing male and female student accommodation blocks, and the construction of new extensions to provide additional communal student facilities for a total student population of 650.
•MEP Design Manager for new Hempel Factory, Jeddah. This project was designed as the Hempel Model Factory; the design template will be used on all future Hempel factories. The building included a main production facility, warehouse/storage areas, office space, external storage, external tank farm, external Silo farm, underground fire tanks, and underground wastewater collection/treatment system. Construction cost 600m SAR (USD 160m).
•MEP Design Manager for new 240 key 5* Hyatt Hotel, Al Khobar for SRSS Architects. Responsible for design management of the electrical, plumbing, drainage, HVAC, fire fighting and irrigation systems. Design undertaken to meet HITS (Hyatt International Technical Standards).
Provided an independent MEP consultancy service to local regional Architects, Healthcare trusts, Developers, Contractors, Universities, Schools and Private Clients in UK. 17 years without claim on PI.
