• Provides guidance and consultation to the Contractors on the day-to-day HSEMS issues as required.
• Conducting Periodic HSE Inspection / Audits as per the annual audit/ inspection plan.
• Monitor project safety programme to ensure constructive progress through proactive planning.
• Enforces Clients HSEMS contractual requirements. Encourage Contractors to adopt Safety Standards and other industry best practices in HSE.
• Evaluate the Contractor’s HSE performance on an on-going basis and make recommendations for improvement.
• Evaluate and communicate the HSE performance issues on a timely basis and develop mitigation plans.
• Conduct accident / near miss investigations and ensure the implementation of preventive measures to avoid its recurrence.
• Ensure toolbox talks, safety alerts and HSE lessons learned from incident investigations are effectively communicated to the Contractor’s staff by the Contractor supervision and management.
• Provide training in various subjects like SCBA Systems, Basic Hydrogen sulphide, First Aid/CPR, Defensive driving, Authorised Gas Tester and Basic Fire Fighting.
• Conduct personal HSE Induction Training and other training to support individual and mandatory training required by the Client.
• Attend HSE meetings/ Conferences as required.
• Preparation of prequalification questionnaires for new bids and existing clients
• Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of emergency response plans (documentation, revision, testing & training)
• Reviewing and Redesigning of drawings in accordance with site conditions and NFPA standards
