- Contributed to feasibility, concept, basic, and detailed design of underground structures including headrace, tailrace, diversion tunnels, de-sander chambers, pressure shafts, and powerhouse caverns.
- Prepared and reviewed design calculations, technical reports, and drawings for D&B, NATM, and TBM tunnels, caverns, bifurcations, manifolds, and high-pressure tunnels (penstocks).
- Reviewed geotechnical site investigations, including core logging, RQD assessment, discontinuity mapping, and site surveys, to develop dependable ground models.
- Developed rock mass parameters and geological models using RocLab and RockWorks, based on borehole data and field observations.
- Performed rock mass classification and support design using Q-system and Barton’s approach, supported by analytical and numerical methods.
- Conducted 2D/3D numerical modelling using Phase2 v7.0 and Examine 2D to evaluate deformation, stress redistribution, and excavation stability.
- Designed and optimized tunnel and cavern support systems (shotcrete, rock bolts, spacing, orientation) for horseshoe and D-shaped tunnels, considering staged excavation.
