Helping and supporting client, US Commodity Futures Trading Commission.The project deals with data manipulation and transformation of large traders and their trading activities in different exchanges. The output of the project is vital to the agency role in monitoring market behavior and is important to members of the public, many of whom rely on this information in forming their trading strategies.
We were tasked to migrate existing legacy application written in Statistical Analysis Tool (SAS) and MS-Access to Microsoft .NET Framework, ASP.NET and SQL Server. The specifics of my role are;
1. Reverse engineering of SAS and MS-Access code modules for a common understanding of business logic and rules. Designing and Development of logical and physical database objects (Sql Tables, Functions and Stored Procedures).
2. SSIS (DTS) Packages designing and development for data loading and processing
3. Designing and Development of Sql Server Reports (SSRS).
4. Web interface development using Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5, ASP.NET, Telerik Rad Controls for AJAX, jQuery, Web API2 and Entity Framework 6.
Working with one of Gannett Digital product, DealChicken.com, an e-commerce web front operating in daily deals space. Worked in middle and backend tier of the product. My share includes;
Designing and developing database ER diagrams, Logical and Physical databases, tables, indexes, views and scripts for different product features, Orders, Refunds, Promotions, Credits, Sales Commission.
Business logic implementation in middle tier to facilitate front-end developers for features implementation. Code refactoring and pattern implementation in C#. Used LINQ to SQL and ADO.NET for backend database communication. Support and development of custom built schedule and jobs in C#. Configuring, creating and maintaining jobs in SQL Server Agent.
Integration of 3rd Party API, WCF Services, to enable cross product selling. Integration with Email Service Provider API, ExactTarget, to help CRM efforts. Subscriber engagement through Daily and Promotional emails and subscriber response tracking, open / clicks. Integration with affiliate API, Scheduling and reporting on affiliate sales. Google and Adobe API integration to help business monitor and analyze site statistics and behavior.
Lead efforts to migrate business reporting from crystal reports to SQL Server Reporting services. Managing and reporting off of RDMS and OLAP cubes.
Lead efforts to roll out SharePoint collaboration and tracking environment for internal IT processes. Business Intelligence delivery using BCS, External Content Types, Excel Services and SQL Server Reporting Services.
Participated in group initiative of inbound and outbound data processing of major pharmaceutical companies in a data distribution center. I was focused on logical and physical data modeling, process architecture and workflow development in SSIS (FTP, SFTP, PGP encryption / decryption, Data Flow), customized script tasks in C# and SSAS. Lead development of enterprise data hub project, an effort to consolidate customer data from different verticals, Mortgage, Real Estate and Student Loans. The project was focused on CRM initiatives and acted as centralized feed to downstream applications. I used SSIS for data cleansing and transformation, C# for complicated business logic, SQL Server 2008-R2 for data storage and SQL Server Agent for job scheduling and monitoring.
Worked as a team member in digital marketing division to design and build de-normalized data models (facts and dimensions), ETL packages, SSAS cubes and SSRS reports of customer acquisitions and digital leads. Data souring and profiling from Teradata, SQL Server, Flat files and Excel feeds. Used analysis services user hierarchies, explicitly defined attribute hierarchies, to extend information to outside processes and applications.

Underwriter plays an important role in insurance company profitablity by analyzing risk associated with a policy. Designed database schema and developed solution to implement policy pricing model automation with DB2 backend. Inbound feed of Microsoft Excel with SSIS Process workflow. Reports generation using SQL Server Reporting Services with a Sql2005 and DB2 backend. Maintaing and extending company-wide Intranet portal. Configuration and setup of Visual Studio Team System 2008. Project creation, Bugs reporting, Source safe handling and Build setup.
The company is involved in process manufacturing of printed and encoded products that’s been used by transportation authorities to keep a control on their revenue stream.
Process manufacturing involves small processing steps that add up to overall production cost. Designed and build web and window based ERP solution based on .NET Framework 2.0 that capture and compute small processing steps and output overall production cost.
Developed a window based order entry system that adds an order in production system and let production manager to analyze and schedule for next runs.
Implementation of Microsoft Windows Services to set schedules and poll operator jobs. Code 128 bar coding implementation using 3rd party component. Implemented barcode standard UCC/EAN 128 for packages labeling and delivery.
