RESPONSIBILITY / JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Lead Engineer for performing detailed design, Construction and Commissioning activities for various Projects
 Contract Scope approval and Technical bid Evaluation.
 Following up procurements and providing technical approval.
 Leading the Design team to perform additional design supports to clients based upon the project modification.
 Preparation of all Design Deliverables for the Fire & Gas Detection and Alarm system.
 Preparation of all Design Deliverables for the Fire Fighting and Fire Suppression Systems.
 Fire & Gas sensors sizing & Selection, Preparation of datasheets, Installation drawings
 Instrument sizing and selection, Preparation of datasheets, Hook up drawings, Installation drawings.
 Co-ordination with Various Control System Vendors.
 Preparation of Control Logics, F&G/ESD Cause & Effect and Control Narratives.
 Development of HVAC Control System design and integration of the same with DCS/ESD systems.
 Leading the team for Factory Acceptance Test.
 Contribution to Project HAZOP study.
 Hands-on experience working with various control systems including Yokogawa - Centum 3000 and Prosafe, Allen Bradley RS logix, Simatic S7, SUPCON, Direct Logic, Detronics LON System, Fastwell and numerous local Russian control systems.
 Preparation of Detailed Engineering documents as per client’s specfification
 Instrument index, I/O list, Casue and effect, Conrol narrative and safeguarding philosophies.
 Functional Design specification for Control and Automation systems such as ICSS, F&G, PLC etc.
Work to review existing instrumentation/ automation systems for adequacy of design. Perform detailed design of instrumentation/control system modifications, as required ( including the interface analysis ).Selection of instruments and Control Systems with respect to Client’s Specification.
 Development of Safety Instrumented System for the site based upon the SIL requirements.
 Design support, Commissioning & Start-up of various systems such as Flare Units, Nitrogen Generation Units, Instrument Air systems, Water treatment packages, Boilers, Fired Heaters, Amine system, Gas Dehydration Units(MEG & TEG), Refrigeration Units (Mycom Refrigeration system), Incinerators, Sulfur recovery units, LPG systems, SNG Systems, Loading Stations, Ariel Compressors, CAT compressors, De-salters, Atmospheric Distillation Units, Vaccum Distillation Units, Oxidation Units, Tank Vision Monitoring Systems, Packaging Units, Sewage water treatment Units.
 Active Participation pertaining to Work Commission and State Commission Approval Process.(CHS certification)

 Provide engineering expertise to field construction for permanent and temporary works, ensuring that the work is completed safely (HAZCON), efficiently (Constructability) and to quality (Site Quality Plan) in accordance with the applicable specifications and in line with accepted engineering practices.
 To verify the scope of work is completed and handed over to the Client/Operator in a defined, timely and systematic process.
 Ensure that all drawings, specifications, procedures, work practices, method statements, quality plans etc are indexed, available and retrievable and that the latest issues are being worked to. Ensure that all field changes brought about by TQ’s, RFI’s, SQY’s etc are correctly marked on the drawings and specifications so that all copies of such records accurately reflect the current instructions. Ensure as-built drawings and vendor information is maintained and handed over to the Client/Operator to suit the plant start-up sequence.
 Ensure that the Completion and Handover procedures are agreed with the Client and that the quality records for the work are progressively accumulated, indexed and available to support a phased systematic acceptance and handover of the plant to the Client/Operator. These records must be maintained as ready for audit at all times throughout the project until initial acceptance.
 Control Field Changes check and arrange approval of design when applicable and alert the Site Services Manager of any special aspects of engineering design or changes. Regularly report lessons learnt using the site report form for the engineering feedback system.
 Performing detailed Electrical and control system capacity studies through extensive site surveys.
 Develop strategy of Electrical Tie-ins based on capacity study reports.
