• Electrical Engineer at the "Qatar Airways Accommodation" project in Qatar for the client "Qatar Airways Group" under the supervision of consultancy "Dar al Handasa".
• Submit Material Submittals, Method Statements, and Requests for Information to the consultant.
• Manage a team of draftsmen for the completion of shop drawings and submit them to the consultant.
• Ensure the Emergency & Fire Alarm Systems are designed according to NFPA, Life Safety Plans, and Qatar Civil Defense standards.
• Attend meetings with the consultant and the client.
• Meeting with suppliers to finalize the system design based on selected vendors and requirements.
• Take off all the materials related to the different electrical systems (Lighting, Power, Wiring Devices, Cables, Feeder Routing, Fire Alarm, Data/Tel, BMS...)
• Assist the electrical project manager in getting quotations and comparing them.
• Ensure that the electrical BIM model is submitted to the consultant in close coordination with the BIM subcontractor.
• Ensure compliance with both the Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS 2014) and the project specifications.
• Develop a full project plan for the construction of new branches.
• Follow up with all relevant departments & sub-contractors to respect the timelines of the project as per the project plan.
• Develop and present the preliminary versions of the design of new branches to the superiors.
• Coordinate with architects, main contractors, and consultants regarding construction issues and provide engineering solutions.
• Create an organizational chart and a communication matrix for each project.
• Site survey for the possibility of constructing new branches
• Follow up on the Installation, Testing & Commissioning of IT and Security systems in conjunction with the corresponding departments.
• Set up weekly progress and technical meetings with the project team.
• Prepare project weekly progress reports and present them to the management.
• Identify risks associated with projects and mitigate them to avoid any delay in project completion.

• Get quotations and price lists from different suppliers and prepare apple-to-apple comparison sheets to meet the budget requirement of the project.
• Meet up with suppliers to establish the needs of the client.
• Coordinate and plan the project schedule to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with all sub-contractors to ensure the delivery, installation, modification, testing, and operation of all corresponding electrical systems as per project specifications & local standards.
• Supervise the electrical team to meet the adequate requirements of the project.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, variation orders, advanced payment forecasts, and other
correspondences.
• Coordinate with different trades (Project director, Mechanical engineers, Civil engineers, Architect, Interior designers, Structural engineers, Construction Manager…) on-site to ensure delivery of high-caliber electrical works on time.
• Coordinate with "Dar al Handasa" regarding the design under their scope.
• Coordinate with utility companies for incoming utility power & telecom connections to the project. Redesign the Low Current systems of the project (IP Data, IP Telephony, SMATV, IPCCTV, Access Control System, Building Management System, Fire Alarm System, Audio-Visual System, Security Alarm System, Lighting Control System) as per the specifications and the selected brands.
• Comply strictly with the specifications of the Security Systems framed by the “Qatari Amiri Guard”.
• Collect daily reports from the Electrical Engineers, and report to the Project Director.
• Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance.
• Get a clear understanding of the project’s preliminary design.
• Coordinate and collect comments from relevant parties (Site engineers, senior engineers, architects, interior designers, AHJ, etc…) and make appropriate adjustments to the electrical design.
• Design and supervise shop drawings for low current systems (IP data, IP telephony, IP-TV, Public Address System, IP-CCTV, Access Control System, Fire Alarm System, Building Management System, SMATV, Conventional Fire Alarm System, Video-Phone System, Lighting Control System, Audio-Visual System, BGM system, Auditorium AV System, Burglar Alarm System).
• Design electrical systems for small projects (Villas, small centers, apartments, chalets…)
• Provide assistance to the estimation and business development units by preparing electrical BOQs.
• Supervise the electrical works on site.
• Prepare as-built drawings for future maintenance work on the project sites.
• Issue Operation & Manual after the execution for all the electrical systems.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding material delivery.
• Provide daily reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer.

• Develop mechanical design layouts for different projects (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and
heating systems).
• Coordinate with other departments to avoid technical design problems.
• Perform mechanical calculations; HVAC duct sizing, and plumbing/water supply pipe sizing.
• Prepare Electrical and Mechanical shop drawings and BOQs for each project.
• Supervise Electro-Mechanical drawings, and manage the tasks.
