Overall responsibility for the execution of Medical Infrastructure Projects’ scope for UAE
region.
Review and approve budget planning for projects, based on assigned resources and pre-established
project budgets.
Monitoring the progress status and schedule update, change management, risk management and
financial health of following aspects of the infrastructure portfolio on a regular basis.
Recruitment and Allocation of necessary resources as per project demand.
Extensive coordination with various international manufacturers and logistics teams.
Responsible for maintaining excellent relation with the Client and all stake holders.
Day to Day management of staff reporting directly to me including identifying shortfalls and
training needs.

i) Sheikh Shakbout Medical City, Abu Dhabi
ii) Maliha Military Hospital Project, Sharjah
iii) Rashid Hospital Trauma Extension, Dubai
iv) Al Jalila Childrens Hospital, Dubai
v) Various Medeor and Burjeel Hospital projects
vi) Multiple projects for various other Clients - NMC, Ortus, Zulekha, Prime
Project: NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi (B+G+3+Service Block + Mosque + Ancillary
buildings, approximately 75, 000 sq.m built-up area)
Overall responsibility for the Project MEP and Medical Engineering scope by controlling all
aspects of works including planning, administration, commercial, engineering, site works and
associated documentation.
Responsible for continuously maintaining good relations with the Client and all stake holders to
establish the company as contractor of choice.
Created, presented and obtained approval for the project budget from senior management.
Successfully implemented sub-contractor procurement strategy including overseas and long
lead items.
Effectively carried out the complete negotiation and finalization process of various subcontractors and suppliers based on contract documentation and budgets.
Finalized the MEP contract with main contractor and corresponding contract terms with all
subcontractors.
Successfully managed all of the above, Detailed Design development and approval process
without delays and in-time for commencing construction activities.
Day to day management of suppliers and subcontractors including progress monitoring.
Effective change management and corresponding documentation including negotiation and
obtaining approvals of variations.
Preparation of monthly progress reports.
Identification of resource requirements and corresponding recruitment.
Delegation of work to team members and act as mentor while maintaining approachability to
office and site staff.
Created and successfully implemented simple and effective reporting tools and procurement
strategies.
Provide support in pricing and budgeting for other RFQ’s.

10) Spearheaded the following projects from Inception:
a) Bright Point Hospital, Abu Dhabi (Civil, Fit-out, MEP & Medical Engineering incl. operation theater)
b) Lifeline Hospital, Dubai (MEP & Medical Engineering incl. operation theater)
c) Zulekha Hospital, Sharjah (Medical Engineering & operation theater)
d) Prince Hospital, Abu Dhabi (Medical Engineering incl. Operation Theater)
As the lead consultant for the project, my company was responsible for ensuring that the project design documentation was completed in-line with the fast track completion programme, and efficient supervision of all construction activities in-order for the facility to be fully operational during the UAE’s inaugural Formula 1 Grand Prix on the 1st November 2009, at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
I was further responsible for the design and supervision package of the modification works undertaken by the Client based on tenancy agreements.
My responsibilities are but not limited to:
a) Project Management of MEP and overall management under circumstances.
b) Re-Design and document the complete electrical system in compliance with the Local Authority Regulations (ADDC).
c) Review & approval of shop drawings, material submissions, method statements etc. & evaluating the quality of work done at site.
d) Evaluation & certification of monthly progress payments and variations submitted by the contractor. Evaluate the contractor’s submissions and Prepare tender recommendation reports (Technical) for all provisional sum items.
e) Co-ordinate all MEP disciplines. Conduct MEP Co-ordination meeting with the Client and various contractors to discuss weekly progress and site issues.
f) Managing work load of my team of Engineers and Inspectors.
g) First point of contact for the Client, Consultants & Contractors for all MEP works related to the project.
h) Tracking progress of all aspects of MEP, security systems, Structured Cabling, PA/BGM system Installations.
i) Liaison with all relevant authorities and other infrastructure consultants on the Yas Island development for all utility supplies to the project.
During this short period of employment, I was delegated with and successfully completed the following activities:
a) Validation of the Master Planning & Infrastructure Services including strategic locations of Sub-Stations, DCP’s, STP’s, RTA Tram Depot, Routing the Al-Sufouh Tram line through the development etc.
b) Prepared the project wide Project Execution Plan (PEP) including Risk Register, finalized Design Management Review procedures & Stakeholder Analysis.
c) Finalized the Concept Construction Strategy in-line with the Client’s Sales Strategy.
d) Design review of the consultant’s 100% Schematic MEP drawings for the Advance Product (consisting of 9 nos. G+7 mixed used buildings on a common 2 level podium).
e) On Suspension of works, due to the global financial crisis, performed the following within a tight deadline, enabling the Client to derive crucial decisions:
i. Assessment and Evaluation of Consultants’ & Contractor’s works done and preparing recommendations for Client review.
ii. Prepared the Project Suspension Report & drafted the Project Close-Out report.
f) Other responsibilities as a Project Manager were to manage the implementation of the development’s Health, Safety & Environmental plan, Logistics plan & Project procedures, Facilitating a correct line of communication and efficient flow of information between all parties involved, Monitor implementation of the project QA/QC plan etc.
a) Design Management and Project Management of all MEP Building Services.
b) Conducting MEP Co-ordination meeting with Design Consultant, Supervision Consultant and Contractor to discuss weekly progress and design / construction issues.
c) Evaluating value of works executed and assisting the Quantity surveyor in valuation of progress claims by Consultants and Contractors.
d) Review and approval of all variations related to MEP building services and ELV systems.
e) Materials' & Drawings' review and approval.
f) Evaluating the quality of works executed, conducting inspections of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing works executed by contractor and supervised by the consultant, verifying method of work and all materials used at site against consultant’s specification, approved drawings issued for construction, method statements & all MEP material approvals.
g) Conducting safety inspections at random. Preparing inspection reports, non-conformance reports, snag lists.
h) Conducting final witness & acceptance tests, factory acceptance tests of all MEP items, as deemed required under the contract.
i) First point of contact for all MEP related activities.
j) Liaison with relevant authorities (DEWA, PDC, TECOM, DM, JAFZA) for project approvals and utility supplies.
• Re-designing of the complete electrical power services (cable routing, voltage drop & cable sizes calculations, Bus-Bar routing & preparation of load schedules etc.), & other services like Fire Alarm, Audio/Video Intercom, Access Control, CCTV System & Structured Cabling works.
• Co-ordination with DEWA and TECOM.

• Preparation of shop drawings, co-ordination with other services & obtaining drawings and material approvals from the consultant.
• Man & Material management and executing the job as per approved drawings within the specified time frame.
1) Design, estimate and supervise the execution of landscape lighting, electrical works for large & small sheds, single storey buildings, pump rooms, including all types of L.V. Switchgear, preparation of shop drawings & as-built drawings as per DEWA standards.
2) Design & execution of complete automatic irrigation system including communication with Dubai Municipality Central SCADA system.
3) Installation of Filtration Chamber control panels and electrical works, TSE (Treated Sewerage Effluent) connection chamber control panels for Dubai Municipality
4) Liaison with Dubai Municipality, DEWA (NOC’s, approvals & inspections) & Etisalat.
5) Purchasing all materials for the works.
6) Maintenance & small electrical works within the group itself, to maintain company machines, etc.
7) Site allocation & HR related matters for staff directly under me & preparation of their time sheets.
8) Reporting to the general manager on a weekly basis the developments of each site and the difficulties faced.

Projects executed as the Electrical Engineer: -
Project: Female Students Hostel for Al-Ain University, Al-Ain.
Client: Al-Ain University Consultant: KEO International
Execution of complete electrical services and co-ordination with other services and sub-contractors in the construction of a set of three buildings, of three floors each.
Estimation of all materials & equipment, preparing material submittals, Liaison with ADDC, Supervision of Electrical works (including low current systems) and co-ordination between other services and sub-contractors during construction.
Project: “CW-2041” - A U.A.E. Defense Project
Execution of complete electrical works in construction of a set of three blocks of B+G+4 buildings & lifting station. Estimation of all materials & equipment, preparing material submittals, Supervision of Electrical works (including low current systems) and co-ordination between other services during construction. Liaison with DEWA to obtain power supply.
Project: 1B+G+M+23 Residential Building at Ajman Consultant: Adnan Saffarini
Execution of complete electrical works in construction of the residential building including obtaining approvals from the consultant of drawings & materials, coordinating with suppliers, purchasing all electrical materials, preparing variation claims, conducting regular inspections along with the consultant and final handing over inspection with consultant and client.
Other Responsibilities includes: -
1) Quantity & price estimation of Electrical & Plumbing services for villas, high rise buildings, defence projects etc.
2) Purchasing of all MEP materials.
3) Preparing B.O.Q. and Variation reports.
4) Co-ordination with other services (Drainage & Plumbing, A/C, Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting, etc.).
Completed the 4 yr. Bachelors Engineering Degree course from the university of calicut with first class. Underwent industrial training at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Hyderabad and assisted in R&D and implementation of Vacuum Pressure Impregnation System (a high quality insulation mechanism for heavy moving parts) of large Rotors, Stators etc. My electives during my final year was Electrical Machine Design & CAD/CAM.
