• Regional Logistics Responsibility for Middle East North Africa and Eurasia.
 Manage the setup of forwarders and customs brokers, review them based on operational efficiency, service levels, pricing etc. Also setup metrics and KPI’s for on-time performance customs clearance lead time. Source and review due diligence documents along with legal. Ensure affiliate addendum is in place prior initiation of operations.
 Manage and setup the cross dock for supporting the MENA Region. Initiated from process registration with Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Dubai Customs etc. to a successful full-fledged operation.
 Conduct freight forwarding and brokerage RFP’s in countries to source improved service and competitive rates.
 Setup the e-sourcing tool in countries to have competitive freight costs and also standardize the pricing enquiry for out of RFP requests.
 Conduct training sessions for Country Logistics personnel on e-sourcing tools and various internal processes.
 Create various work methods and process maps for logistics operations.
 Work with International Trade and Global Logistics Compliance group to ensure all country specific requirements and local regulations are adhered.
 Travel extensively to countries to review operations, conduct training, review forwarders and broker’s performance and also meet with customs and port personnel to understand any rule changes or incase of any challenges.
 Organize, conduct and lead Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with forwarders and customs brokers.
 Work on Global projects assigned by Director of Global Logistics. The recent projects include demobilization from Angola & Iraq and mobilization into Russia & Egypt. Various other projects include development of forwarding lanes, brokerage RFP’s, operational review and improvement and cost reduction / saving projects.
 Ensure the internal and external customers are receiving efficient logistics support, also act as a Regional escalation point for internal customers.
 Initiate and execute air and ocean charter moves for the region. Responsible for all break-bulk, over-size and critical shipments in the Region.
 Support Internal Audit group in case of audit. Responsible to conduct random audit on Country Logistics.
 Ensure 3rd party service providers comply with HSE requirements.
 Educate service providers on the 20 rules of contractor responsibilities. Work with Risk management group for guidance and approval prior to moving high profile shipments.
 Ensure service providers use lifting diagrams and review data sheets of equipment’s prior to lifting.
 Review regional safety report and take corrective actions. Organize safety stand downs and take lead on weekly safety topics.
 Conduct random inspections at Halliburton locations and service provider’s facility. File and review (HOC) Hazard Observation Card’s, conduct follow up audit to ensure corrective action is in place.
