Procurement

Communicate with suppliers & client for matters related to procurement progress, documents and LC.
Oversee the purchasing activities, including spare parts, material & capital / fixed assets.
Review existing and new MR & FAR/BOQ/RFQ requirements.
Establish and build effective working relationships with all internal customers, ensuring that Central Procurement has a complete understanding of their needs and that the customers understand the procurement process and Central Procurement’s role.
Comply with purchasing policy and procedures within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Monitor and assess supplier performance on a regular basis. Develop and implement supplier performance improvement programs.
Order processing for International orders as per BOQ, terms & conditions received from the project.
Manage buyers and ensure better negotiations through price/terms comparisons, prior to issuing order.
Establish and monitor Letter of Credit for local & overseas supplier’s

Logistics

Provide leadership & direction in ensuring the smooth functioning of overall logistics operations of the company, applying knowledge & experience in Logistics management.
Communicate with suppliers for matters related to logistics, duty exemption and documentation.
Negotiate & finalize service contract with a competent forwarder for customs clearance & delivery.
Handle mobilization & demobilization of equipments, vehicles & cranes for the allotted projects.
Handling Export & Import shipments, process documents for Export in coordination with the Project.
Manage expediting team for timely delivery of materials. Supervise logistic personnel for collection and distribution of purchased items also ensure that proper receipt is recorded and completed documents are forwarded accounts department.
Handle Ex-works shipment of spare parts from OEM for timely delivery to project.
Handling cargo insurance with the internal insurance department & process claims for damages.
Survey and estimate the cost of export shipments on case to case basis for budgetary purpose.
Manage warehouse logistics staff & ensure safety & security.
Handle movement of heavy lift cargo (Vessel /Turbine / Generators) according to project requirement.
Process customs duty exemption documents from GASCO (Abu Dhabi) & EDEPC (Egypt).
Visit the ongoing Project’s and Customs department when necessary.
