Hired into a part time role to teach Business, Finance and Mathematics to GCSE, ‘A' Level students as part of an ongoing education programme for a PGCE course certification.
Researched, prepared and delivered weekly accounting, finance planning and maths lectures for Foundation Degree in Business and Finance; Access To Business and Functional Skills courses
Member of the Business and Maths Teams tasks involved the design of the scheme of work, student handbook, lesson plans, internal mock tests, delivering lessons and supervising and marking mock tests across the college's two sites.
•Achieved a noticeable increase in the student pass marks, which then led to the College offering to fund my PGCE course
•Designed the scheme of work, lesson plans and delivered Level 2 BTEC Finance For Business, in which all students achieved a pass grade.
•Researched, prepared and delivered weekly accounting, finance planning and maths lectures for Foundation Degree in Business and Finance.
Recruited as a Governor and was a member of the Audit and Finance, Safeguarding, Staff Welfare and Appointments, and Capital Projects Committees.
•As part of a 5-year term on the functional Board, collaborated effectively to turnaround a previously failing college into one which was graded as ‘Outstanding' by Ofsted and for which the College Principal was awarded a CBE.
Whist in this role, I independently:
•produced and published two educational books currently available on Amazon, following a successful experience authoring two books that were published by Hodder and Stoughton/Hodder Education.
•developed and supplied supplementary education services, conducted self-development workshops and produced bespoke education resources to tutor students.
