As an analyst. While at NAFDAC, I was assigned to work in the following lab sections.
• Oil Analysis -
Determination of acid value and free fatty
acid.
• Sea food Analysis -
Radiation, total volatile nitrogen, salt, ash,
trace metal determination.
• Food Analysis -
Test for reducing sugar, total sugar, acidity in.
fruits, milk solid non-fat, fat extraction,
rancidity in oil and fat, saponification in oil,
Salt in processed tomatoes also test for food
micro-organisms like e.coli enumeration,
salmonella count, pseudomonas and aerobic
mesophilic count.
• Water Analysis -
Chemical analysis include: Determination of
carbon dioxide, chloride, lead, zinc,
potassium, copper, alkalinity and total
hardness
