• Actively involved in 22 major procurement processes, including solicitation, price negotiations, and signing of contracts.
• Successfully accomplished 04 indigenization projects for Naval Aviation generating savings in procurement/ import costs to the tune of 20 lakhs per annum. Executed periodical review of operational performance of Naval Air Technical units and provided necessary inputs to maintain desired efficiency and quality levels
• Set up infrastructure for operation and maintenance of newly inducted fleet of 16 aircraft and associated front and second-line maintenance equipment.

• Successfully accomplished the ship’s refit schedule of 05 months with deft application of resource planning and maintenance strategies
• Effectively maintained survey equipment for operation in rough seas
• Evolved breakdown solutions for technically complicated imported electronic machinery and sea-gravity detection system by systematic approach to defect investigation & root cause analysis despite non-availability of relevant technical documents.

• Played key role in securing ISO certification for the Yard in 2002.
• Successfully implemented project of “conversion of a non-fly worthy aircraft into a dynamic Ground Testing Unit” contributing modern project management techniques.

• Effectively managed repairs of more than 40 electronic equipments indigenously, assessed non-reparable by the OEM

• Spearheaded the indigenization of more than 30 complex Avionic equipment, for which I was awarded Commendation by the Chief of Naval Staff

I was the Aviation Technical Manager for the ship during this period, and effectively spearheaded the maintenance, repairs and various periodical and hourly based inspections to ship-based aircraft. During this time, also spearheaded major repairs to one aircraft, viz. entire cable change to all electrical and electronic components damaged severely due to fire.

As an Aviation Technical Officer of the Naval base, I spearheaded the repairs, maintenance and periodic and hourly based inspections to 8 aircraft during this period.
