Senior Project Manager at Emirates Leisure Retail & Maritime Mercantile International
  • United Arab Emirates - Dubai
  • September 2016 to June 2018

• Project managing the fast track expansion of the franchises and brands throughout the UAE.
• Managing budget-spend reductions, improving stakeholder engagement and understanding of process in an increasingly lean market.
• Managing the Architectural team of in-house and consultant designers to deliver and coordinate information across the network.
• Managing external PM’s through the transition period of their removal whilst maintaining positive relationships with consultant, providers and contractors.

Vice President Premises Management at United Arab Bank
  • United Arab Emirates - Sharjah
  • December 2009 to May 2017

Highlights;
• Building the Premises Management Dept. from scratch to a multicultural team of 30+ dedicated staff.
• Successfully tripling the property portfolio within 5 years.
• Renovating the original property portfolio whilst developing the new brand.
• Working closely with consultants on UAB’s new head office and migrating all staff and operations.
• Creating both the Facilities Management & Security Departments.
• Developing the Entrepreneur space and Art Gallery as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Starting in December 2009 as Head of the new Design and Premises Projects Department I was the Client’s in-house Architect, Designer & Project Manager charged with completing UAB’s 10th branch. The Premises Management Department rapidly grew from my one man team to a team of over 30 staff and external consultants which has since delivered UAB’s 32nd branch and new Corporate Head Office.

The Department’s role was to deliver new branches and premises, managing stakeholders, external consultants and contractors where necessary. My department also created and managed the new Security and Facilities Management arms of the Premises Management department. Negotiating and administering contracts and AMC’s, Landlord negotiations, Authority approvals, Licenses etc. the department handled all day to day premises issues and incidents.

Project Manager & Architect at Tangram Gulf
  • United Arab Emirates - Dubai
  • June 2009 to December 2009

Following my departure from BSBG during the harshest part of the recession I commenced employment with a rapidly expanding company delivering a significant amount of civic, residential and hospitality work within Abu Dhabi's Western Region.

Though I appreciated having a position in a uniquely strong company, the type of projects I was involved with did not satisfy my desire for the fast track projects I was previously involved with.

A more suitable opportunity arose at UAB towards the end of 2009.
