1)Responding to all types of Emergencies and non-Emergencies; Structural firefighting, Hazmat, Oil spills, Road traffic collisions and Rescue operations.

Worked for the Health and Safety at the Emergency Response Unit, Duties were;
1)Responding to Emergencies calls at the mine and outside the mine site, In charge of the Fire team that I got assigned to by my Superintendent and Manager.
2)Ensured my team gave an appropriate efficient, on emergency coverage at the mine and outside mine site.
3)Conducted training to the mine employees, main and sub-contractors about Fire awareness and emergencies.
4)Also responded to wide range of emergencies like rescuing of trapped miners, dead body recoveries, and etc and was also a trainer of my crew.
5)Did inspections and servicing of fire equipment’s, fire suppressions systems at the mine site and drove a fire truck and a Fire truck pump operator.
6)Did standbys and provided emergency coverage at the mine airstrip before landing and take-off’s of planes.
7)Patrolled and checked the air strip for any hazards before landing and take off for the planes.
Trained in all aspects of Fire fighting, rescues, Rope and Water rescues, Road traffic collisions and Extrication. My duties were;
1) First Responder under the Fire and Rescue control; Duties were responding to variety of calls for assessment before dispatching of the emergency vehicles.
2)Responding to all types of Emergencies and non-Emergencies and Fire alarms and extinguishing fires.
3)Responded to Road traffic collisions and did extrication for rescue.
4)Worked for the Emergency Control Room for monitoring and surveillance of wide range of calls like; Fire alarms and ambulance.
5)Dealing with incoming emergency calls and prioritising them and taking all necessary information from the caller and directing non-emergency calls to the appropriate number.
6)Assessing how urgent each individual incident appears to be and deciding on the best course of action to be taken.
7)Directing Emergency services team to deal with the incident and maintaining of contact with the team at the scene and keeping up to date with the situation and ensure staff safety.
8)Ensured best possible use of resources is consistently made and teams work within agreed response time.

13)Conducted training for new firefighter recruits on firefighting, breathing apparatus, Knots and lines and Rope rescue.
14)Also conducted training for new company staff, clients and non-clients on Fire awareness, usage of fire extinguishers, evacuation drills and First aid.
