As the Operations & Financial Analyst I am responsible for operational effectiveness and financial efficiency.
Reporting to the Senior Director of procurement I am accountable for:
1. Analyzing current processes and recommend changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness, reduce risks and increase control
2. Evaluate operational needs and develop reporting requirements
3. Identify workflow & system improvements and work with operations and IT to enact change
4. Research and troubleshoot system related problems in collaborations with Operations and finance
5. Budgeting, forecasting and gap analysis
As the Financial Analyst I was entrusted to analyze the operations of the company’s first acquisition, Safar Oilfield Services, as part of the companies 5 year growth and diversification strategy.
Reporting to both the Chief Financial Officer of TWI & Senior Director of Safar I was responsible for:
1. Cash flow management, analysis & projection
2. Profitability analysis which included operations analysis, inventory pricing, sales pricing & cost benefit analysis.
3. Budgeting & forecasting for the parent company as well as integration of financial sheets.
4. Data Management & procurement analytics
Based in the Jotun Paints headquarters in Dubai I was tasked with analyzing the implications of financial decisions on marketing, IT and Accounting. My objective was to implement what was lacking in their database and correlate the information with Finance.
As a student of business management I took it on myself to prove to every one of my faculty over the course of three years that I undoubtedly possess the best financial analytical skills and management skills exceeding the limits of theoretical education by leading my team to come runners up in the management accounting and business analytics competition held by the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting, Middle East. I perfected the projects that I individually submitted and also showed excellence in team projects leading my team in most cases to be the highest scorers with the most developed knowledge of the project subject and also portrayed the best learning methodologies.
